Chapter 2
Silverkit was dreaming. She was walking into a starry forest when suddenly it opened up to a pool of water with the stars shining on it. Silverkit was dazzled by the beauty of the pool.
A fluffy white she-cat with yellow eyes and long whiskers padded up to her. Silverkit looked up at the starry cat with bewilderment in her eyes. "Hello young kit." The she-cat mewed.
"Who are you?" Silverkit asked the she-cat. "My name is Sagewhisker." Sagewhisker mewed. Silverkit gasped with excitement. "You're one of the Medicine Cats Littlecloud told me of!" she mewed excitedly. Silverkit sat down and licked her tiny paw. "Silverkit. This is not a time to play." Sagewhisker growled.
Silverkit looked up at her again. "Listen closely Silverkit. You will get a prophecy," Sagewhisker looked at her with mysterious eyes. "Like a true Medicine Cat." She added. Sagewhisker took a breath and fixed her eyes on something Silverkit couldn't see.
"Two cats, one from Thunder, one from Shadow, will have to save the Clans from an oncoming darkness. But beware, if they do not overcome their differences, the darkness will swallow them and the Clans." Sagewhisker mewed. The she-cat began to fade. "Wait! Don't leave!" Silverkit wailed.
Silverkit woke up next to Jaykit and overheard what Mudkit just said. Silverkit snickered. "What?" Jaykit asked. "Even a blind badger could notice it!" Silverkit laughed. "What? Notice what?" Jaykit asked. Silverkit shook her head. "You'll find out." She laughed.
Suddenly Silverkit heard a battle cry. Silverkit shrank back and began shivering in fear. She heard yowls and screeching out of the nursery. A silver tom raced into the nursery. He growled and grabbed Silverkit by the scruff.
Silvercloud growled and unsheathed her claws, along with the other queen. "Leave our pure kits alone! We don't want them to turn into soft kittypets like you!" he growled. The tom raced out and raced over to a large white tom with large black paw. The tom nodded and yowled, "ShadowClan! Retreat!" The Clan gathered around him and he lead them out of the ThunderClan camp.
Silverkit suddenly realized who was carrying her. "Stoneheart!" she purrs. "Hello my tiny daughter." Stoneheart purred. The large white tom lead them to a pine forest. Her father entered a tunnel that opened up into a huge clearing.
Stoneheart padded over to the nursery and placed her next to her brother, Smokekit, and her sister, Nightkit. Silverkit curled up next to them and soon fell back asleep.
