Disclaimer: I do not own Katekyo Hitman Reborn no matter how much I wish I did
I would also like to point out that this isn't a story of how Giotto met his guardians, but more of how they became his guardians hence, how they all met each other. It's a stretch...I know.
"Th-thank you!" the a person from the town stuttered, still clearly frightened from the attack.
"We don't know what we'd do without you!" exclaimed another citizen. "Those gang members came out of nowhere and started destroying our shops and terrorizing the children."
"Well, don't hesitate to call me anytime if you guys need help." With that being said, Giotto smiled at them and gave them a wave.
"Let's go, G"
"Isn't there anything more we can do?" Giotto gave a frustrated sigh. "There's too much crime in this town! Too many people suffering at the hands of others. We can't save them all...we don't have the TIME to save them all. One day, we might not even be strong enough to help!"
After they had arrived home, G had watched his friend pacing furiously back and forth for the past hour trying to figure out a way past this dilemma while mostly staying silent as they had had this discussion many times in the past. In fact, almost everytime they help someone out, Giotto comes back more frustrated than before.
"Well, you know it's hard to find people to help. They're all terrified at the gangs here and we can't exactly force them to fight for themselves."
"There has to be a way though."
"G, I've got it!" G looked up startled as Giotto rushed into the room. "So I was talking to Cozart about how to help the town and he suggested that we start a vigilante group! Isn't that the perfect idea?"
"E-eh?" G managed to get in before Giotto hurriedly continued with his idea.
"That way, we can recruit more people to help us and be more capable of helping out the town." As G looked at Giotto's excitement at this idea, he knew that there was no way he could say no. Time after time, he had gone with Giotto's crazy ideas from helping these people to helping those people, and doing more than they could manage.
"Oh! That sounds like a good idea. With a bigger group, we could even put some of your other crazy ideas into action."
"Crazy? Hey, I thought you always thought my ideas were great..."
"Heh heh, well sometimes they were just a bit...too much for us to handle. Hahaha. Remember that time in the forest with the Marco gang and the tomatoes?"
Giotto smiled, remembering that particular incident, where he had feared they wouldn't make it out alive. "Well this time we'll form a group of people who can help, who we can trust. We'll be a family. You'll join me, right?
G could see that slight hint of worry in Giotto's eyes. Giotto knew that by forming a group, they were pretty much declaring war against the various gangs that ruled the town. And he was worried that maybe this time, G would think he was being a little too unreasonable. But he had no reason to worry, as G sighed, "Well, I never could say no to you.."
At this, Giotto smiled at G. "Thank you."
A week later
"G! I think I found someone who wants to join our Vongola famiglia!"
"E-eh? V-vongola?"
"Yeah!" Giotto beamed. "That's going to be our name!"
"B-but...why Vongola?" G stuttered again.
But his question was left unanswered as Giotto had already left him standing there looking very confused.
Author Note:
I know shimon cozart helped out a lot in the creation of this vigilante group, but I really wanted to focus on Giotto's relationship with his Guardians. I also know that he probably didn't even call it the vongola until later, but I sorta wanted to sneak it in there. O:)
That aside...how was it? I hope this seems like a somewhat accurate portrayal of Vongola Primo...although definitely OOC at the end.
