I decided I will do all the prompts you all send my before September, cause after that I will probably not have time to write (or to breath) for few months at least. So here it is, enjoy.
"I think we should buy all yellow, green or orange" Amelia unbuckled herself, those days it was a very difficult task, her 27 weeks belly made everything harder like operating and standing up.
"Why? We know it's a girl. Let's buy her pink and purple" Owen gave Amelia an excited look, he was so happy since they found out and every day he become happier and happier.
"It is too old-fashioned and mostly stupid to dress girls in pink and boys in blue" Amelia was sick of pink, as the fourth girl in the family she got her sisters old stuff, they were mostly pink and she hated them. Once when she was 13 she tried to dye them to black but managed to get a weird grey instead.
"But…" Owen didn't finish his sentence after he saw Amelia's expression, she was having mood swings and when she was angry she looked like she is able to kill somebody and Owen really wanted to live long enough to meet his daughter.
"How much?" Amelia wasn't sure she heard the price right, it couldn't be right "I think it will be cheaper to buy a Neuroendoscopy".
"The internet thinks that this stroller is the best" Owen looked at the stroller, the fabric was jeans and it looked very sophisticated.
"your husband is right, this stroller is Lightweight, the safest in the market, has an Adjustable seat and a big place of storage" the young jumpy sell woman was explaining them about the stroller in such enthusiasm you could think she is selling them a Porsche and not a piece of fabric and metal on wheels, Amelia was mad at her for being so happy, and at Owen for knowing everything and at the their neighbors for their too bright house, who dyes his house in turquoise?
"it looks like you really know so much about it" the young woman said, flipping her long blond hair "it is rare to see a father so prepared and…" she looked at Amelia "and a mother so uninterested in all the baby stuff" she put her hand on Owen's arm "most woman would have their hands full with headwraps but I guess it is good, she won't spend too much of your money this way".
"You see, honey, 'she' make her own money" if looks could kill, Amelia would have a body to get rid of.
"Right" the woman said "can I help you with something else?" she asked only Owen.
"We are good" Amelia answered instead.
After they were left alone Amelia walked towards the cribs, Owen followed her.
"This one looks good, strong" Amelia pointed at a wooden crib.
"yes, I like it too" he hugged her knowing she is still pissed at the sells woman.
"she was flirting with you just in front of my eyes, homewrecker" Amelia kept looking at the direction where she was.
"To be called a homewrecker she would need to have at least a chance, and baby she is no one next to you" Owen managed making Amelia laugh.
"I need to pee, again" Amelia left Owen, looking for a bathroom in the huge store.
Amelia got lost in her way back, she couldn't find Owen and just before she was ready to give up and call him she saw him. Owen was standing in the clothes section. He was looking at some pink baby cloth. Amelia got closer, she saw what he was holding in his hand, a t-shirt with the sentence 'daddy's princess has arrived'. He was looking at it with sparkling eyes.
"You know" Amelia sneaked behind Owen, wrapping her hands as much as she could around Owen with her belly pressed to his back "she is defiantly going to be daddy's girl".
"I love you" Owen turned around and kissed Amelia gently.
I think Owen will be that kind of dad, but I think the whole pink/blue thing is really stupid!
