Chapter 1
Five years after the whole other mother incident Coraline
was a sad and lonely 15-year-old. The reason why she was so sad was because her parents had recently died in a car accident leaving her alone in the big empty house no one but her lived in. Ms. Spink and miss forcible died two years ago followed by Mr. Bobinski a year after that. Then came her parents. Itseemed to Coraline that this was just one big death cycle but on the bright side of things her parents will declared that all their life savings would be immediately given to her if and when they die which was quite a lot of money surprisingly. There was enough money that Coraline was able to remodel her whole house and in the end it looked really nice and quite modern looking. But she was still lonely because the whole world basically forgot about her well everyone except wybie whom Coraline still saw every now and then. Coraline awoke with a start she checked her alarm clock it read 6:30 AM. She thought she heard someone cooking breakfast in the kitchen. But no it couldn't be she was the only one that lived in the whole house everyone else died and then a thought struck her "maybe I should listen more carefully "she thought. And she did just that she heard dishes being put on the table, water running in the sink, something being cooked on a griddle and what appeared to be a female voice humming a song "who did I know that used to hum like that "Coraline kept thinking to herself but she just couldn't remember who. But she was curious so she got out of bed and walk down the hall towards the kitchen. The humming started to get louder as she approached the kitchen door. The second she opened the door she froze. Standing there in all her wickedness and evil glory, no longer in spider form instead clad only in dark jeans, a white long sleeve shirt and matching neck brace was the other mother with a wide smile on
her face staring at 15-year-old Coraline with shiny black button eyes.
