"Wow dude, you really did it."
"I know right? It's going to be great!"
"How'd you even afford this place? Your brother gave you a loan?"
"Don did not. Believe it or not Mordecai, I have saved money since being in space."
"Whatever dude. Have fun with your rocks."
"Hm! You're just jealous that I am going to have a successful business."
"Yeah. Later."
"Hm," Rigby grunted. He turned to face his shop. Through swear and tears and calling in every favor he could muster, he finally had a store of his own.
Something he hoped his baby girls would be proud of.
"Well, time to open shop."
He smiled as he walked into the poorly named store he was opening.
"Wow Rigby, nice place you got here."
"Thanks Muscle Man. I was kind of worried it wasn't going to work out given what people really know of me since my days at the park. But things are going well."
"So, Rigby, Starla and my anniversary is coming up soon. Mordecai was talking about how you might have something for it."
"Depends. Did you anger her earlier or is she excited?"
"Um..."
"You forgot your anniversary didn't you?"
"It wasn't my fault bro! I've been taking care of the kids while she's taking classes. It's hard to keep track of the dates."
"I think I might have something. But it won't be cheap."
"C'mon bro cut me a break."
"Mitch," Rigby responded in all seriousness, "I'm not going to break your bank. But I still have a business to run."
"Fine, just help me out bro."
"Follow me!"
"Well Rigby, I have to say, never thought you would actually have a business to run."
"Nice to see you too Skips. Looking for something in particular?"
Skips looked around the shop, taking in the surprisingly tasteful merchandise.
"Something more like a memorial."
"Pop's anniversary isn't for a while."
"It's not for him. It's for her."
"Oh. Right. I did find a set you might like for her."
"I really appreciate you doing this Rigby."
"Just doing my job Skips."
"Hey Rigby."
"Eileen. What brings you to the store?" Rigby gleefully inquired. His eyes darted to the two little giggling girls.
"Well, two little princesses wanted to have their personal knight to go trick treating with them tonight."
"Seriously. I would love to!"
"Just let me close down the shop and I'll set out."
"You sure Rigby? I could always watch the shop-"
"No way. Hey girls, wanna travel with your favorite knight and wizard tonight?"
"Yeah!" The girls called out.
"Rigby, I don't have a wizard's costume."
"Well..."
"Rigby," Eileen whined half amused.
"No no! It's really cool I promise!"
Rigby scurried to the back room on all fours.
"Did you girls know anything about this?"
Two impish grins told her all she needed to know as Rigby ran back into the room with a delightful black witch's dress and wizard's hat with an emerald pendant.
"Oh Rigby, it's beautiful."
"When I saw it, I just thought of you," Rigby admitted bashfully.
"Oh Rigby," Eileen cooed. She placed a gentle kiss on his cheek getting the two girls to giggle.
"Love you Eileen."
"Love you more. Trash Panda."
"I am never going to live that down am I?"
"Rigby, you once named yourself Trash Boat. Television called Raccoon's Trash Pandas. I mean, look at your own store name."
"Hey, Trash Panda Jeweler is a great name! One man's treasure is another man's trash after all."
"That's not how the phrase goes Rigby."
"It's true though. All these gemstones are trash pared to you three."
"Oh you flatterer."
I love the idea that Rigby's geology episode would lead to some sort of rock based career.
