A/N: I do not own the characters. They belong to CP Coulter and to Glee. Inspired by the song, "This Is My Idea" from the Swan Princess.
The timeline is a bit out of whack, but since I'm making them friends since way before Dalton, I didn't think it mattered much. The years are based off of the idea that Julian and Logan are 17 in 2011.

"Julian!" Dolce Larson called out for the last time, irritation laced through her voice. "We have to go NOW!" She continued tapping her foot and brushed a bit of invisible lint off her shirt, waiting for Julian to descend the staircase so they could go. They were off to the good Senator Wright's estate for the summer. Dolce and the Senator's new wife, Michelle, had been friends once and Michelle had invited Julian out for the summer. "Julian!" she called once more before an impeccably dressed young boy was seen strolling out of his room, with an air of boredom radiating around him. "I'm here." He drawled as he came down the stairs. Dolce gave him a quick up and down before deeming him dressed acceptably enough before turning on her heel and walking out, while Julian trailed behind her.

"Logan!" John Wright's voice rang out with a loud boom. "Get down here. They'll be here shortly and you MUST be ready." There was a loud bang as Logan's bedroom door slammed shut before he was seen shuffling down into the foyer, pulling at his tie. "Oh you look lovely dear." Michelle cooed before John snapped, "Don't baby the boy" and gestured at Logan to fix his tie. "I suppose you look good enough. We're going to have a Hollywood star here this summer. Try to act like a normal child." John turned to walk out, leaving Michelle to fix Logan's tie and send him a sympathetic smile. The buzzing of the front gate rang through the house, alerting the Wright family that they had company. "Be nice." John snapped before ushering his family to the front parlor to wait for Dolce Larson and her son.

"Now, you boys play nicely while the adults discuss things."

The boys were shooed out of the front parlor and towards the family room. The door slammed shut, the sound reverberating around the rest of the house. Logan gave Julian the once over before walking off; assuming Julian would follow. Julian shrugged and followed. They walked into the family room and sat on different chairs, sizing each other up, the best way seven year olds can.

"I can't believe I'm stuck with him all summer. I bet he's a prima donna." Logan thought to himself. Julian, a bit shyer, tried not to look like he was sizing Logan up as well.

"He looks conceited." Julian thought, which was a shame, because it'd be nice to have friends his own age. But Julian didn't need another diva friend.

"Maybe I'll get lucky and get chicken pox." Logan shifted before offering a feeble "So happy you could come."

"So happy to be here."

The boys fell silent again, lost in their own thoughts of how miserable this summer was going to be.

This was not their idea of fun.
