Just like every other time Artemis found her target and took aim. She knew that this shot she could not miss. Though most of the shots she took were life or death situations anyway, but what if she did... well she didn't want to think about it. Artemis took in a depth breath and fired. She let the arrow fly, but something felt off about it. She couldn't pinpoint what it was though.
As the arrow continued its flight path she could tell something was wrong. It was like it was on the right coerce, but then suddenly moved three inches away from her target. She stood there petrified, 'She had missed, something went wrong…and now I am going to...die'. There was nothing she could do to get away, nothing she could do to escape. In those short millisecond, right before her death all she could think about was Wally, and how much she loved him...how much she would miss him. She knew that she had to tell him one last time.
Artemis turned her eyes searching for him. Then she saw him. She saw the horror on his face. His eyes widened as he looked at her, 'Oh, his eyes, his beautiful green eyes', how much she would miss them and how much she would miss the life they would've had together. All she got out before it went black was "I love...".
