I walked towards the small house that was covered with an assortment of vines that grew from different plants on the side of the house. As I reached the pine wood door I tried to remember the speech I had worked on all last night. "Hello Edward you forgot your wallet at my house last night" and then I would give him the wallet and say "Well have a nice day, Bye" smile and walk off, Simple I know, but I'm the type of person that would forget anything even if I wrote it down on my hand. I'm clumsy which isn't helping me in life, so far. And Edward Cullen is… I can barely even describe what he is.
As I reached the door I quietly knocked on the door. I mentally yelled at myself for not knocking louder; he probably couldn't even hear me. So I reached out to knock again, but right when my fist was about to the hit the door, the door swung open showing a tall reddish-brown haired man. I froze and stared at him. I probably looked like an idiot, but my body wouldn't move an inch.
Edward just chuckled "Hello Bella"
I put my fist down, and stared at the ground "Hello Edward" I stuttered out.
"Please come in",He said gesturing towards his rather grand house.
I did as he said, taking in the elegant chandelier that hung in front of the hallway leading to the kitchen. I let Edward pass me after he closed the door. He was snickering as he walked in front of me. I followed behind, almost tripping on the edge of the rug that was placed down the long small hallway. When we reached the kitchen the sun was beaming down on the marble counters. He had something cooking on the stove, and it smelled fabulous.I followed Edward through the archway that connected the kitchen to the living room. The flat screen was placed right above the fireplace, as it was last time I was here… eight years ago. I felt my eyes stinging I shut them for just a second. I continued to follow Edward towards the gray colored leather couch.
"Bella," Edward began to say, but then he saw my face. I was pale; paler even than my usual albino self.
"Bella, what's wrong?" he asked worriedly
"Nothing" I said quietly.
"Are you sure" he asked looking straight at my face I let my hair fall in front of me, hiding my embarrassment.
"You forgot your wallet at my house the other day, Here" I said shoving it into his hands "Bye"I added running out of his house tripping over the rug in the process. I quickly picked myself up and continued running.
