"You need to stay still!" the paramedic yelled.

"Strap her down! She's thrashing!" the other paramedic yelled.

"No please! I have to go back!"

They ignored her.

"We've got a female, late 30's, massive head injury, extensive bleeding and multiple extremity fractures." One of the paramedics yelled into his radio.

"Ms. Sidle, we need you to stop moving, you'll be at the hospital in no time." The paramedic took her blood pressure as they pushed the gurney to its location. Every bump, every crack, Sara felt pulse through her body. Her body was throbbing and she felt as if she was burning from the inside out. The voices around her became distorted memories, the minutes moving like hours. The air became thick and she continued to slip in and out of consciousness until…

"SARA! Where is she?" Her eyes bolted open.

"Grissom," she whispered weakly as she looked around for him.

"Ms. Sidle, don't move!" The paramedic yelled aggressively.

"Sara, I need to see her!" She heard Grissom yell.

"GRISSOM!" she yelled back will all her strength, tears streaming down her face, "Please! I need to see him! Stop!"

They reached the ambulance and they lifted the gurney up just as Grissom reached Sara's side. Her constant fighting was definitely a lost cause because of her injuries but she wanted to just touch Grissom, to feel his warmth next to her to warm her frail body. She felt Grissom's hand on hers, his thick fingers touching hers. His voice was just a mumbled and she tried to look at him but at that moment she couldn't move, her body filled with pain and with a wave of anguish that engulfed her body she cried out and the world went black.
Just a brief chapter, tell me what you think!
