It was 2005 in a room in the military complex on the island known as Shadow Moses, the room was dark with only a single light illuminating the room. Snake awoke to find himself in the clutches of a strange machine, all he heard was the clicking of boots. "Brother… It's good to see you right where I've always wanted you." a soft voice spoke from the shadows. "Even though we've never meet properly, I've always felt a connection to you." the voice continued "Why did father care for you? Then I saw you… You're just like him…"
"What are you talking about?" Snake responded raspily, struggling against his restraints with no success.
"Don't you know brother? I love you…" the voice continued as the figure stepped into the light revealing himself as Liquid. "Not only that but I envy you… You got to know him, learn from him and even serve him. I on the other hand was left in the shadows… unloved." Liquid stepped closer to Snake and caressed his face gently.
"Let me out of here Liquid!" Snake shouted out in desperation.
There was a sudden sound of flesh hitting flesh, the echoed as Liquid stood there with a feeling of power. "You are going to stay there and listen… I have been starved for his affection, and I will make you give it to me." Liquid proclaimed.
