What Sera's Thankful For
"Is the turkey done yet" Leo as he looked at the turkey in the oven. He was even salivating at the very thought of eating the turkey. It was his animal instincts Leo thought to himself "It will be done in a few hours Leo calm down and wait" Uncle Morino said with a laugh. Leo then pouted as he sulked back to the table and sat down putting his head down on the table. "Relax Leo time will pass by before you know it we will be eating turkey" Amu said gently as she could. Yamato, Sera, Tusk and Miso said nothing as they sat around the table as they waited for the food to be served.
Hours later after the food was served and set on the table. "Now we give thanks everyone" Yamato said. "Give thanks Yamato what's that?" Sera asked slightly intrigued; and Leo,Tusk,Amu, and Miso were also interested. "By giving thanks we are grateful for what we already have" Yamato said after explaining what giving thanks was during Thanksgiving. Yamato then said why don't we go around the table and say what we all are thankful for. The others agreed I'll go first Uncle Mario Mori "I am thankful for you of my nephew Yamato."
"I am thankful for you as well Uncle as well as my new friends" Yamato said motioning to the other zyuman. Sera,Leo,Amu, Tusk and Miso couldn't help but smile at Yamato for his thoughtfulness. Next Miso like Yamato was thankful for his new friends. Amu went next and said she was thankful for her family and her friends. Sera went next she was thankful for three things her family, friends and her crush. Amu watched Yamato face turn into a saddened expression the moment Sera mentioned the word crush.
But Amu knew the truth the crush that Sera was thankful for was Yamato; she had to poke the truth out of Sera until she finally told her she had crush on Yamato and begged her not to tell the guys and Amu promised she wouldn't and she never broke that promise yet. Then Leo said "He was thankful for food and his friends." Lastly Tusk said he was thankful for his family and friends. Then after everyone ate and washed the dishes and put them away. As Sera put the last dish away in the cabinet she noticed Yamato leaving the treehouse and she decided to follow him. As Sera stepped outside behind Yamato with his back still turned to Sera.
Yamato said "Go away Sera leave me be I want to be alone!" Sera could hear the pain of sadness in Yamato's voice; and it just made her heart ache because to Sera she just couldn't understand why was Yamato acting this way when she had feelings for him. "Yamato why are you acting like this" Sera said she didn't want to sound like she was pleading when she actually was. With his back still turned to Sera Yamato couldn't understand why Sera couldn't take a hint and leave him be; it was obvious that Sera had a crush on someone else and not him. Why you may ask the reason was simple Yamato had a crush on Sera. "Yamato?" Sera tried once again.
"WHAT SERA!" Yamato snapped this caused Sera to flinch a little bit. Sera was undeterred as she asked Yamato once again what's wrong. With the same tone of voice as before said "You want to know what is wrong Sera! What's wrong is the fact that you have a crush on someone else!" Sera couldn't help but laugh ever so slightly and she stepped closer to Yamato. With their lips only inches away from each other; Sera said "the crush that I am thankful for is you Yamato I have a crush on you Yamato." "What!?" Yamato said confused for a few seconds; but then he said "It's a good thing you have a crush on me Sera because I have a crush on you too." Then Yamato closed the gap between him and Sera and gave her a first kiss she'd never forget.
