Interview One: Hank
Hank, please sit down.
Why thank you sir.
So you were working with the hunters?
'Course! Me, Val, Maggie and Markov were a great team. We succeeded in many hunts before they called us to take out the Goliath.
What were you thinking when they asked you to to participate in said hunt with your closest squad?
What was I thinking? Sure as hell we could possibly die, but where's the fun in playing safe? It's all fun and games in the wilderness if you catch my drift.
Alright, now why don't you tell us a little more about what went down when you hit the planet's surface?
We saw tracks almost instantly. Maggie's Trapjaw, Daisy found the trail and we followed her until she led us to the monster.
What was your first reaction when you saw the monster?
I dunno, it was hella big. First reaction? Fear. We caught the dumb thing evolving in front of us. I almost laughed, pulling my laser cutter out. We had a few seconds of damaging him without him retaliating. And it felt good. Two stories tall, and it was getting bigger.
So he just sat there?
He was super ticked off. He turned around mighty quickly and started throwing rocks and breathing fire at us. You have no idea how scared I was at the beast at that point.
Shear has tons more wildlife other than just the monster. Tell us about them.
Beasts that live in small ponds...vulture like creatures who feed off corpses left by the monster. It's pretty difficult to explain 'em all, but most of them were dangerous.
Did you get the chance to kill the monster?
Yeah, sadly the dang creature made his way to the power generator for Shear. We killed it shortly afterwards.
What would you say to anyone wanting to join the hunters?
I'd say join. We need more recruits. It's hella fun and you get some great friendships outa it. I gotta go hunt another monster.
