Prompt: Claudia is hurt and Leena panics.

oxoxoxo

Leena swallowed the nasty feeling of dread down as she made her way through the hustle and bustle of Rapid City Regional, clutching her phone and purse for dear life. Her stomach dropped in relief when she saw Myka and without a thought, dashed over to the agent before attempting to settle her breathing. "Where is she, is she okay?"

Myka's eyes fluttered in greeting and she nodded with a smile. "She's fine… Broken nose and a dislocated elbow is all." She noticed a sheen of sweat gathering at Leena's brow, her upper lip. "Leena, she's fine… it's alright. Basically just a nasty fall."

Leena's eyes darted around the ward and she closed her eyes, blowing out a long breath. Claudia had fallen from a ladder in the Farnsworth aisle and from the sounds of it, it had been pretty high, and she'd practically faceplanted the stone cold ground. "Oh god…"

"Leena," Myka chuckled, one eyebrow raised. "She's fine… Just a bump, really. Anyway, it was her turn - we've all been in hospital, Claud's just proving herself to be a real Warehouse agent," she giggled but Leena's face didn't move.

"Can I see her?"

"Wh…" Myka paused and looked her friend in the eye. "Sure," she thought better than to make a big thing out of the panicking. "Sure… follow me." She said, and guided the frantic B&B owner into an examination room where Claudia sat with her nose guarded, grazes and scrapes on her face.

"Hey, you…" Leena said quietly. Claudia opened one eye and began to laugh.

"Wondered when you'd show up," she grinned, then winced.

"You just made me ruin a perfectly good blueberry pie." Leena smiled back and took her hand.

"Well…damn," Claudia sighed. "I'm fine… don't fuss." She felt a twinge to her arm and closed her eyes. "Okay, it hurts like a bitch but I'm good, alright?"

Finally, Leena found herself able to breathe and after one more soft gaze from the patient, she finally believed her. Claudia's eyes shifted suddenly to the squeak at the other end of the room. Myka's eyes had bugged out once she'd figured it out and she held her mouth in shock.

"Ohh…" she pulled her hand away from her face and pointed between them. "Oh! You two…Ohhhhhh!"

Claudia groaned and closed her eyes. She couldn't have told Leena not to panic, not really. If it had been the other way round and the B&B owner had fallen from a 10 foot height, she'd probably react the same way. She shuddered slightly and lay back in the bed, opening her eyes to see if Myka had stopped flailing yet. Nope. She felt a squeeze to her hand as she closed them again and let out a smile. They'd never live this down. If she was quite honest with herself, though, she wasn't sure whether she wanted to.
