They tried to keep all signs of affection away from their jobs, considering it was supposed to be a professional environment. Although working around House, it was anything but professional.

Occasionally, when crossing in the same room, they would pass one another an affectionate glance or smile and continue on, happy with the idea that they were thinking about one another. Other times, House would call Wilson as a consult and they would put themselves as close as they could to one another. Sometimes hands brushed and reached but would never quite get there before departure set upon them.

Those were the days they were afraid to really show their affection. Once Cuddy got used to the idea that yes, two of her male doctors were, infact, involved with one another, they didn't mind sharing those touches and smiles openly. Some patients were even gawking as they shared a tender embrace in the halls on the way to do an MRI scan or a blood test.

Their favorite moments, though, were the moments they could walk down the hallways, hands clasped tightly together, grinning and snickering over a joke or Cuddy's still somewhat disturbed expression. Chase and Wilson were thoroughly amused by this and it made holding hands two times better than it already was.
