This takes place after Rule 51. Tony and Ziva. I DO NOT own these characters.
Abby runs towards the elevator as soon as she heard the ping. "TONY!" Abby said excitedly, flinging her arms around him. "You're okay!" As she checked him for any cuts, bruises, or missing fingers…
A little startled at Abby's welcoming, but by now Tony is used to this sorta thing. "'Course I am Abs, did you have any doubt?" Tony questioned amusingly.
"Well… with everything that happened…" She began to whisper into Tony's ear, "She's upset Tony."
Tony perked his head over his shoulder to the left and saw Ziva glancing at him from her desk.
"I guess I should go talk to her and apologize." He said in return.
Tony slowly comes around the corner and looks Ziva in the eye, Ziva staring right back at him. She knows it was because of work that he missed her ceremony, but after all he did promise to be there.
"Tony," Ziva said softly, "I forgive you."
Tony looked like a deer in a headlight. "You forgive me, but I haven't… even… apologized for anything… yet." He stated.
Ziva smiled and said, "I know, but I also know you were going to…"
Right as Tony leaned over her desk and got right next to her Gibbs walked in and slapped him on the back of the head. Tony muttered, "why is it always me getting slapped?"
"Tony, I am glad you finally decided to join us today, we've got a body. Dead marine," Gibbs said while making eye contact with Tony as if he knew Tony got the job done.
It is now 2100. Everyone was leaving the squad room, tired and drained from the last few months and today's case.
Tony and Ziva were the last ones to exit the elevator. The doors shut behind them and they both looked at each other. "Ziva, earlier today," he began to say just before Ziva interrupted him with a smile. "Let me make it up to you, please? Ziva?" She agreed.
Tony took Ziva to his place to surprise her with a Citizenship celebration that he had planned on doing, but Vance's orders got in the way.
Ziva was well surprised! "Tony, you… decorated? For me?" she asked.
"Well, I guess if it was a surprise still then I did good," he smiled. Relieved that Ziva seems to be in high spirits again.
"Why, is there a ladder in the middle… of your living room, Tony?" Ziva wondered out loud.
"Um," caught of guard, "well I wasn't finished when everything had happened, and Vance sent me to Mexico, so I couldn't finish putting the balloons up on the ceiling," he said with an unaccomplished tone in his voice.
Ziva, took off her coat and put it on the bar stool and rolled up her sleeves.
"Well let me help you then Tony." She said.
"Oh, Ziva, you don't…" but before he could even finish the sentence Ziva was already up the ladder fidgeting with the tacks and the balloons. Ziva is a ninja.
Tony looked up the ladder at his ninja. Paper streamers running down the sides of her face, it was pretty funny he thought. Tony climbed up the other side and met Ziva at the top.
"What, … are you doing Tony?" She looked at him confused and raised an eyebrow.
He reached over and moved a streamer out from the side of her face, slightly grazing her soft skin. She blushed almost on contact. Ziva turned her head away.
"Ziva, I am sorry I wasn't there, I wanted to be there for you. My American ninja girl" he said. Ziva's face got flushed with another colored of red on her cheeks.
Ziva thought to herself, HIS American ninja girl.
Tony leaned over the ladder and kissed her softly on her lips. It was almost too much of a perfect match. Their lips interlaced like a weaved pattern on a throw blanket. His hand gliding across her face and his fingers slowly crept through her hair. His heart raced with every stroke on her skin. Her heart raced with every move she felt.
