It always bothered Leon when he couldn't figure something or someone out. Leon was a born perfectionist at heart and, yes, it bothered him immensely when a certain someone was around him; a certain someone with spiky, gravity-defying blond hair, bright blue eyes, a really slim figure, a handsome face and a really, really, big sword.

Cloud Strife.

If Leon was the most enigmatic man in Radiant Garden, then Cloud certainly knocked him off that throne.

He had fought side-by-side with Cloud before, even going as far as joking with the swordsman, but that was it. They never had a real conversation and Leon was finding himself becoming more and more curious about Cloud, especially when Tifa and Aerith started giggling and whispering with each other whenever Cloud was around.

Leon vowed that he would find out the truth about Cloud.

One night, the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee was having a party to celebrate the return of Sora, Donald and Goofy. They had the party in Merlin's house and everyone had to admit; Merlin was still quite the party animal, grooving to Steppenwolf's "Born To Be Wild". Cid was busy chasing Sora away from pressing all the buttons on his computer. Tifa was trying to keep Yuffie away from the alcoholic drinks while Aerith was trying to calm Cid down. Donald was explaining something to Goofy and started shouting in his unintelligent gibberish when Goofy obviously had a look on his face which practically shouted "Dude, I had no idea what you were talking about."

Cloud, as usual, was leaning casually against the wall, his arms folded across his chest and his eyes closed, as if concentrating on something much more entertaining than the party.

Deciding to try his luck, Leon walked over to Cloud.

"Not dancing?" he asked Cloud.

"I don't dance."

Silence.

Leon normally would be comfortable with silence, but being with Cloud, well, made that extremely uncomfortable. Feeling brave, he decided to strike up another conversation.

"So what's the deal with you and the girls?"

"Hmm?"

"Tifa and Aerith."

"They're just old friends of mine."

"Cloud, you know what I mean!"

"Oh, I do know what you mean."

Cloud leaned in closer to Leon and grazed his lips lightly across Leon's cheeks.

"Besides, I swing that way."

Leon felt as if a bolt of lightning just struck itself through him. "But what about Tifa and Aerith?"

"What about them?"

"They keep acting giggly whenever you're around..."

"That's because you're around. I've also heard from a reliable source that you find me… appealing as well."

A deep blush was making itself visible on Leon's face. "W – What do you mean?"

Cloud laughed softly. "Yuffie says the most convenient things when she's drunk, doesn't she?"

Before Leon could say or do anything that could probably end the young ninja's short life, Cloud leaned in closer and kissed Leon on the lips. Just as quick as the kiss started, it was already over. Cloud pulled away and had an amused look on his face when he saw Leon's slightly dazed expression.

"I'll see you around, Leon."

Leon did not answer as Cloud walked away, smirking. He touched his lips where Cloud had kissed him and felt a warm, tingling sensation in his body. His face grew hot as he realized what just happened and found out that he liked it; a lot.

"Leon?" said Sora suddenly, coming up to him. "Why is your face all… red?"

"… Shut up."

END.
