-1 Return

A tear fell on the cloth where it was quickly absorbed. Another tear followed the path of it's brethren, coming to land in the self same place before being absorbed like water in earth. Freya blinked and another tear fell from her emerald coloured eye. He had come back for her. She told herself that he would come back and he had. His chest made a soft cushion that she had yearned for so long. The five year gap that had built up in her arms was suddenly filled in five seconds. Freya's ears were flat against her head, a sign of submission. One of Freya's arms was wrapped around his neck and grasped a clump of his shirt in her lightly clenched hand, pulling him close to her. Another of Freya's hands was wrapped around the back of his lower back pulling him close to her body. She had, like her hand round his shoulder, a small clump of his clothing in a lightly clenched hand. She held him close to her body, enjoying the feeling of some one else next to her. Freya wasn't well endowed but she didn't care about that. She held him close as his body seemed to form along with hers. One of his arms was folded down over her shoulder, his hand resting on nape of her neck, gently cradling Freya's head, thumb stroking her hair gently and methodically. His other was wrapped around her upper back, palm flat, holding her gently but not firmly. Freya gently wrapped her tail around his ankle, a sign of intimacy and trust. Freya closed her eyes, producing more tears but these ones were not bitter tears of sorrow and loneliness that she always cried, these were ones of happiness and jubilation. As Freya settled down against her lover, a smile slowly crept over her face. The first smile she had smiled in five years. Freya wanted this moment to last forever and for her, it was. Dan rested his cheek on her head and shut his eyes, also crying slow tears of joy. He had come back for Freya. He couldn't die yet, he just couldn't. He held Freya close as she snuggled against his warm body. He didn't need to tell Freya the words. In their hearts they knew what the other was going to say. They both held onto each other, not willing to let the other one go as they stood in the candles flickering light.
