Birthday fluff!

I sighed and ducked into an alley way in Thunder City. Today was my birthday. I was turning seventeen. Mom through my a party at home but it was earlier and when I told her the team wanted to hang out she didn't object. Of course I had no idea what the team was doing or even of they were there. Mary had started taking less and less time to be Electric Gale. It wouldn't be long before she'd either go back to full shifts or quit the hero gig.

I opened the door that lead into a Zetatube disguised as a alley way door,"The Cave," I spoke to the computer.

"Recognized," it said back as the scanner analyzed my body,"Fang Paw B08."

I smirked and walked into the Zetabeam.

I was met by darkness at the cave. I sighed. So much for hanging out with the gang. They were probably on a last minute mission. I was fumbling around for a light switch when I heard the faint WHOOSH of something lighting,"Whose there?" I called out.

I spotted a small flame/candle light in the center of the room,"Guys? Is that you?"

I got closer to see it was a cupcake with a candle in it. The lights suddenly clicked on and the Team shouted,"SURPRISE!"

I gave a yelp and jumped back,"Guys!"

The team, Mary, the flash, Canary, Green Arrow, Red Arrow, Ted Tornado, Aquaman, and J'onn were standing around in part hats and the like.

M'gann held the actual cake (if you count telepathically holding the cake up),covered in white frosting with the words 'Happy Birthday' spelled out on blue piping,"Happy Birthday Maya."

I smiled,"Aw! You guys," The girls in the group hugged,"Thanks!"

M'gann smiled and clapped her hands,"Cake time!"

It was chocolate. My fav. Kaldur walked over and hands me a piece,"Happy Birthday."

I blushed and took the plate,"Thank you."

Everyone was laughing and having a good time when Kaldur carefully scooped up a little frosting from my plate and dabbed it of on the tip of my nose ,"Tag."

I chuckled as I grabbed a napkin. I glanced over at M'gann," Did you make another cake?"

M'gann cocked her head," You know when it's a party like this I do... Why?"

I picked up a piece of cake,"No reason in particular..." I quickly tossed it at Kaldur and it slammed into his face,"Gotcha!"

Robin crackled,"Cake fight!"

It was an all out war. The adults took refuge in the kitchen. While we teens tossed cake at each other. I ran into the training area dodging cake. As I went, I had already been hit twice- once by Mary and once by Kaldur- on the side of my head and my left cheek.

Conner was running after me when M'gann hit him in the back of the head. Artemis and Wally were busy duken it out. Mary was throwing cake and frosting at Robin after she'd use wind to scrape it off the floor or walls.

I flew up into the rafters. Kaldur soon was sneaking below me. I smiled,/Mary/ I created a link between us,/Can you lift Kaldur up into the rafters?/

In an answer Kaldur was lifted up and dropped onto the same rafter I was standing on. I laughed at his face a he as carried up by the wind. His eyes were like tripled in size. What I'd do for a camera!

Two pieces of cake appeared in my hand and I threw them at him. Kaldur dodged the first but got hit be the second. He smirked and wiped some frosting off his face,"I surrender!"

I giggled and hugged him,"Thanks for helping with this. Mary told me you planned it all with M'gann."

Kaldur blushed,"I... Um... I ah-"

I rolled my eyes and wiped some frosting off of his face and Licked it off my finger,"Delicious!"

Kaldur smirked and whipped some of his frosting onto my lips before he kissed it off. When he came up for air,"I could say the same thing."
