Death, a Bright Future?
It was raining, the sound of thunder and lighting lit up the sky if only for moment. But in the hidden village of the leaves, they all welcomed this weather as it seemed fit for what had happened on this very day. For you see lots of things have changed since the "Rookie Nine" were in their teens. They were all in there early 20's, and life was good or at least as good as it gets for a ninja.
Today was supposed to be the day that the newly appointed Hokage got married. But like most cases something just has to go wrong, unfortunately that thing was terrible and had left Sakura Haruno crying over her husband-to-be and the Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze. Naruto and Sakura had finally thought it time to settle down. For you see they had been dating since they were 17, around the same time as the Akatsuki had all but been destroyed. A couple years later at the age of 19 the Kyuubi had been absorbed thus making it cease to exist with a few more bonuses as in having near infinite chakra, improved senses, and much to everyone's amazement his "whisker marks" were slowly fading from his face, making him even more like his father.
A year later he finally achieved his dream and became the 6th Hokage and so far everything had been going great, he had even made Sakura his assistant so they could spend more time together. While Tsunade took over the hospital, but if anything big came up Naruto would use his father's jutsu and have her at the hospital in no time. The only thing that they hadn't been able to achieve was getting Sasuke to return to the village even after he had killed his brother. It seemed that now he hated the village in the leaves almost as much as he did Itachi, after he found out it was the village's doing that had caused his brother to kill his whole clan. He had been missing for a couple of years since their last encounter, so they just left it alone for later concern. Which turn out to be a bad idea, as it seems that Sasuke thought it a good idea to attack the village during the wedding.
Just as Naruto was about to-kiss-the-bride a big explosion rock the village and seeing as most were at the wedding and in tuxes and dresses, they were at a disadvantage. As the battle went on it came down to a both Sasuke and Naruto using their most powerful jutsu. This had caused both piercing each other through the chest, both came out of it seriously injured and without the Kyuubi his healing ability had been hindered so Naruto was slowly dying as Sasuke got away with help from his followers. This had caused many to be disheartened, but the most affected was his bride-to-be. As he was dying, Sakura told him something that made even more of a heart-braking scene. Apparently Sakura had been pregnant and was waiting to tell him later after the wedding, the only thing Naruto said as he smiled was:
"That great Sakura…cough….take good care of our child I would hate if they had a bad life like I did….cough….could you name them after one of my parents…cough…it would make me proud"
After hearing those words, many had tears running down their cheeks as Naruto eyes slowly closed. Shortly after, Sakura screamed to the heavens, causing everyone to look down. But no one noticed as a black butterfly floated up towards the sky before disappearing in a bright flash.
