Goblin Queen in Blue Jeans
by Danika Lareyna

You offered me my dreams, my King,
My every hope and wish fulfilled.
I took your hand, I took your gift,
The world became just as I willed.
xox
Perhaps, my Love, you should have checked
Within your crystal ball of dreams,
Before you gave it to a girl
Full of mischief, fire and schemes.
xox
Who knew what chaos could be caused
By such a lovely, sweet-faced thing?
Who knew what turmoil to your land
With Sarah Williams for her Queen?
xox
The Bog of Stench exists no more,
Replaced by tulips, mums and ferns.
The Labyrinth was far too twisted,
I've straightened out those silly turns.
xox
The Fireys have been put on leashes,
The Goblin Army now wears pink,
Hoggle was named the royal heir,
I'm off to a good start, I think.
xox
A Goblin Queen in jeans of blue,
A mortal girl with power great,
Fifteen forever, it's not that long,
Too bad, Jareth, learned too late.
XOXOXOX
Author's Note:
This is why Danika does not write poetry. Especially at 3 in the morning. Sigh. Had a bugger of a time getting it to accept any halfway readable format, so please forgive the 'xox's.
