This was written for the 10whores challenge community on livejournal - ten fics and Miaka has to be paired with a different character each time. The prompt I used for this was Pandora's Box. ( that story about the girl who opened a box she was told not to and all the demons came out and she couldn't get them back in and that's why there's bad things in the world).
It had only been a kiss. She really hadn't meant for it to happen, but it had.
She'd been trying to kill the Suzaku priestess, not seduce her. But when Soi had cornered the girl and held Miaka's chin in her hand as a means of keeping her still while Soi slit her throat, she'd kissed the troublesome girl instead.
Soi still wasn't quite sure why she'd suddenly dropped the knife and kissed Miaka, but she had. She'd pressed her lips to the startled priestess' hard; there was nothing gentle about Soi. But however ferocious and one-sided it had been, it was still a kiss.
Then she'd remembered just who she was kissing. It had been an unpleasant shock and she ripped away from the Suzaku girl before regaining her composure. Miaka's eyes had been wide in shock and Soi had cursed herself for exposing a potential weakness, and struck the ground by Miaka's shoe with a lightning bold. She'd been about to smite the priestess when she heard the voices of the Suzaku warriors.
"Until next time, priestess of Suzaku," Soi said softly in a voice dripping with menace.
She'd been determined to put the kiss out of her mind, to forget all about it and hope the Suzaku girl did too. But her thoughts kept returning to the soft, surprised lips of the younger woman. Soi couldn't deny it her attraction to the priestess after she caught herself referring to her as Miaka. Thankfully she'd only thought it; she didn't want to know what Nakago would do if he found out that Soi fancied the priestess of Suzaku.
Soi told herself she was going to fix this idiocy quickly. She tried to put Miaka out of her head by distracting herself with others; Soi had always been able to find people willing to let her seduce them. But it was only when she murmured Miaka's name in the priestess of Seiryu's bed that she realised quite how much trouble she'd got herself into.
That one spur of the moment kiss had been like opening Pandora's Box. Soi had let the attraction, the desire, out; now she couldn't get rid of it.
Soi had always cursed the priestess of Suzaku, ever since she found out she was a Seiryu celestial warrior. But her nightly ritual of insults and promises had never been half as strong and heartfelt as they were now. And now she didn't just curse the priestess of Suzaku. She cursed the priestess of Seiryu, the one she was born to protect, for not being Miaka. And most of all, she cursed Miaka for making her feel this way.
