(from NCIS, when Ziva is in Somalia S7xE01 Truth or Consequences) She sat in her pitch-black cell, no daylight, no electricity. It had been three months since her capture by Saleem, the man she was supposed to assassinate. She had been within millimetres of completing her mission, when she had been overpowered by six of his guards. Now she was sitting in her dry cell, lips cracked from dehydration, ribs showing from the lack of food. She had become what she feared most. Just a shell of a human being. She had to retreat from her mind, from the present, to block out the pain, both physical and emotional. She had been kicked, punched, hurt, and violated in every way possible. She heard the door to her cell open, as two guards walked in, bound her hands, put a sack over her head, and led her to be tortured once again by their ruthless leader, Saleem.
