Hey everybody!
First of all, I want to thank LauralovesPLL and lostinthemusicx11 for the amazing reviews. They were my first reviews ever, and I certainly wasn't expecting then to be quite that kind. You guys made me cry. Thanks again.
Secondly, last night's PLL was implausibly phenomenal. Amazing. Except for one thing. Caleb getting shot.
I'm an Ezria shipper, yes, but Haleb is definitely a fair second. I really don't want Caleb to die. Anyhoo, Hanna's reaction to seeing him in the stretcher was heart-wrenching, and once again last night I couldn't sleep because I needed to write about it. If any of you are Lana Del Rey fans, you've probably seen her "National Anthem" video. I kind of mentally connected the two scenes together, and formed how I think the scene played out for poor Hanna.
Please review and I hope you guys enjoy!
Weight.
A weight.
A silent, crucifying weight.
It started in her chest, growing, expanding, pushing itself further and further up into her throat. It was blurring her vision, clouding her thoughts and making the fine line between reality and fantasy dissolve.
It was strangling her, pushing her over a boundary that no one could pull her back from.
And then something did.
The weight fizzled, propelling her forward as unknown barriers held her back.
She felt pressure on her shoulders. What was it? She couldn't breathe.
Muted sounds attempted to penetrate the weight that had spread to her ears, but was blocked out by the rocks and shudders her body was emitting. The weight was swallowing her; consuming her; devouring her everything.
The lights were red, but she couldn't understand.
The noises were becoming clearer as she tried her best to fight against the weight.
Hanna fought hard, pushing herself just enough to let in just one of the wailing sounds that bounced against the insides of her head.
The sound of the sirens.
And that one moment of clarity, of understanding, was all the weight needed to swell up to its full size and drag her under completely.
Black squares covered her stinging eyes, fading her vision and finally making her mind go numb. It tingled a little, only for a second.
Then the weight took over completely. Her legs buckled under her body.
And the weight claimed her.
