"Are you skipping dinner, di Angelo?"
Will Solace leaned against the door frame of the Hades' cabin. Face-down on the nearest bunk, Nico mumbled, "I have a doctor's note."
"Oh?" Will pushed off from the frame. "I don't remember writing one."
Nico's snippet reply was muffled by his pillow. He hugged it to his torso and face as he rolled onto his side. Will sat down at the foot of the bed.
"Are you not feeling well?"
More mumbles.
Will gently shook him. "Hey, Nico."
Nico pulled his face from the pillow. "Don't shake me." He sat up groggily and fell on Will, his head leaning on his shoulder and his long hair tickling Will's neck.
"Okay," he ruffled Nico's hair and repeated, "Are you not feeling well?"
Nico tilted his head so he look up at his boyfriend. "My head feels like Cerberus has been using it for a chew toy."
"You idiot," Will chided, "I told you to stop pushing yourself."
"But I have to get stronger," Nico countered.
"You need patience," Will sighed.
"You're not doing a good job of making me feel better," Nico scowled, "and you call yourself my doctor."
Will broke out into a grin. He bent down and nibbled Nico's ear lobe.
"That's a pretty pathetic attempt, Solace," Nico said, but there was slight pleasure in his voice.
"Hmm," Will hummed. He brought his arms around Nico's small body and hugged him close.
"Pathetic," Nico sang, egging him on.
Will moved his mouth from the ear to the jaw. He traced Nico's jawbone with his lips.
"That's not—"
Will brought his mouth down against Nico's, shutting him up. Will had a way of kissing like he feared something might take Nico away at any moment.
Nico pushed back, but Will pulled away.
Nico scowled at him for the teasing.
Will only smirked and said, "Is my patient feeling better now?"
"Hardly," Nico scoffed, "I think I need more treatment."
Will grinned. "Your doctor agrees."
Nico reached up and cupped Will's face between his hands, pulling him down until their lips met.
