This very short, fluffy, lemonless Avatar spanking fictionthat takes place before Sokka's father leaves.
"But Daddy, I want to come with you!" protested a very young and annoyed Sokka. "Sorry son. This isn't a playground, its war; you're far too young to be exposed to that sort of violence. Besides, I need you to look after Katara." Explained his father. Sokka simply nodded, but thought to himself, If I can get on the ship before Daddy leaves, I'll be able to go with him. Sokka secretly knew that even if he did succeed, his father would be furious, but that didn't matter to him, now.
Later in the evening, when the men were saying goodbye to their families, long after Sokka's father had boarded the ship, Sokka crept onboard and hid in a barrel. Before he knew it, he was asleep, when he awoke, the ship had set sail hours earlier.
"Alright, men! Wake up! I've been captaining this ship all night, it's someone else's turn!" Sokka recognized his father's voice and tried to stand up, but instead knocked the barrel over and tumbled out. He landed with an, "Umph!- D-Daddy!" Sokka hadn't actually hurt himself, just screamed in surprise. "S-Sokka?!- Where- I mean, didn't I tell you to stay home?!" Hollared his father.
Sokka wasn't paying any attention to his father, he got up and started to explore the ship. Sokka's father angrily grabbed Sokka from his balanced position on the ship's railing and took a seat on one of the crates, laying Sokka over his lap. Hakoda thought, Am I really going to do this? He hasn't been spanked since his mother was still alive, and that's a couple years ago... -No. this must be done, he directly disobeyed me, and he's going to cause more work for my men to get him home.
Smack! The first one really surprised Sokka and he let out a loud yelp. Smack! "Son, I told you to stay home." Smack! Smack! "You didn't listen to me, and this is where it got you!- What if this ship had been raided?" Smack! "You could have been hurt, or even killed, Sokka!" Smack! Smack! Smack! Sokka started crying, begging his father to stop. Sokka had only done this because he loved his daddy. Hakoda, now realizing that he hadn't actually thought it through, and hadn't intentionally put himself in danger stopped.
Hakoda sighed and looked down at his son. He felt so guilty now. It wasn't his or Sokka's fault that the war had had to happen and now it was causing unpleasant memories for them both. "Sokka, I'm really sorry. I know you don't want me to leave, but I have to. You know I don't even want to. I am going to miss you and your sister so very, very much." ,Hakoda tried as best as he could to explain what he knew Sokka could never understand at his young age.
Sokka's young self looked up pitifully at his father. He said, "Daddy, I love you." Sokka's father stood him up, leaned down and embraced Sokka for a very long time. Meanwhile, the troops, upon noticing Sokka, were working on turning the ship around to head back home. Sokka talked with his father for a very long time about everything, everything he could think of and everything that seemed important. Sokka also succeeded in talking his dad into staying just another night after they returned.
When the day had come for Hakoda and the other men to leave, Sokka astoundingly did not feel saddened. He felt proud. Proud of his daddy for doing what he had to do for his people and protecting the ones he loved.
The End!- I've actually had this for awhile, so if it's terrible, well… I don't actually know what to say now, so I'll leave you to review! =D
