Beach City Blues

I own nothing of the Steven Universe Franchise. Don't Sue Me I have nothing!

Today was a weird day. Not for the fact that I woke up not in my bed, but because I woke up floating in the ocean.

At least I think it's the ocean

Journal Entry 1

I had floated for a good ten minutes waiting to see if I was having one of those dreams.

You know, those dreams that go on for a while, even when you realize it's a dream. But in this case no. I had decided after that to just doggy paddle to the beach. Swimming was never my strong suit so honestly I was happy I could make it back.

I had dragged myself onto the beach and collapsed feeling the waves slosh onto me. I had wanted to lay there and die. Swimming should not be so god damned hard.

And then I heard someone walk up towards me.

"Hey you okay?" "No I am not, unless you were dropped on your head I am obviously waterlogged as hell. Fucking help me!" I pulled myself onto my elbows and looked into Steven Universe's and Connie's faces. They looked shocked at the words that came out of my mouth.

I blinked, "Don't use those words kids, which was my bad. I'm sorr-"

I'm not sure if I passed out from exhaustion or the fact I was looking at two fucking cartoons in real life.

Steven's House

"Hey! I think he's getting up!" I'm gonna guess that was Steven.

"STEVEN! Back Up, I doubt he wants to see your face the first time he wakes up" Was that Connie? I highly doubt

I pulled myself from under the blanket over me, "I mean she's not wrong"

Steven jumped and rushed over to me ranting on seeing me floating from Fryman's store, but by the time he had reached the beach I had reached the shore.

After a few minutes He and Connie had introduced themselves to me. It was surprisingly easy to act as if it was the first time I had ever heard of them. Can't shatter anyone's head about being from another dimension or whatever. I doubt many people would be okay hearing that the world they live in was a cartoon to others.

After a few minutes of adorable interrogation I had convinced the two that I was just traveling the country going town to town doing whatever to make a buck.

I'm not sure what it says about this world if me being a traveling hobo makes no one bat an eye.

The two of them were pretty easy to converse with. But considering the fact that I was an adult, hanging around two children wouldn't help me with getting along with the town.

I said goodbye and wobbled out of his house. Connie seemed concerned about me wandering out into the city with no guide, I waved her off and reached the door before she could voice those concerns.

As I walked down the steps I heard the warp pad activate. Of course the Gems returned once I left. But that's probably for the best.

Beach City Somewhere- Evening

I had wandered around the City for an hour or two. Not exactly looking for anything, just taking in the sights. The city was pretty, much prettier in animated form. Still pretty though.

By the time the sun had started to set. I had realized that I had nowhere to stay the night. No matter how much of a good kid Steven was there was no way I could stay at his place. I just met the kid.

Thankfully it seems to be spring, maybe summer in this world. I just walked back onto the beach and walked down till I reached the pier. After I spent a minute staking the place out I chose the biggest boat I saw and climbed aboard.

Surprisingly there was clean clothes and other sheets of garment.

I was now garbed in green hoodie, blue T-shirt, and blue shorts. I used my earlier waterlogged clothes as a pillow and got myself comfortable. I needed a bit of sleep and then try to figure out how all this happened. I'd talk to the gems first chance I got.

But first I'm gonna try to take a nap and get off this boat before getting arrested.
