Premis: Raven was going to leave LA to save her friends from Trigon.

The Kiss

Tears welled up in Raven's eyes threatening to fall just as the rain fell now. The wind blew gently, blowing her hair around her death pale face.

"I can't stay here, Spike. " she gasped. "If I do, he'll hurt you all, and I can't...I can't." she stopped, covering her mouth with her bleeding hand.

"Hush, pet, it's alright. We'll handle this threat just like we always do." He took her injured hand and kissed the wound. She hissed in pain but didn't move away.

"Rae, you are the best thing that ever happened in both my life and un-life."

"I can tell that you're a poet." Raven said, smiling slightly.

"Very funny pet, now listen, if dear old daddy show's up, we'll kick his arse back to where ever the bloody hell he came from."

"Hell being the operative word." She twitched her lips in a half smile then looked down at their hands.

"Point being, we won't let him hurt you." She nodded.

"Thanks." A raindrop slid down her cheek stopping at her lip. He brushed his thumb over her bottom lip, wiping the water away.

"If I stay, LA will be obliterated. I can't see that happen." She whispered. He sighed.

"Fine, but where will ya go, luv?"

"I don't know." She muttered, then looked up at him, she looked so lost and innocent that he couldn't help but hug her. He cupped her cheek and looked into her eyes as if asking for permission. She nodded slightly, watching him as he closed the distance between them. Their lips touched gently, but it was as if an electric shock passed between them and Raven gasped, pulling away to look at him. After a second, she moved closer to him and pressed her pale lips to his icy ones. Rain fell down harder around them as Raven pulled the vampire closer. They moved backwards and her back hit the tree that was behind her. He deepened the kiss, knowing full well that this was her first and she had no idea what to do. His tongue brushed against her lips and she sighed, opening her mouth to allow him in. His cold tongue found her slightly warmer one and coaxed it into playing. Raven was in sensory overload, and it showed. Black energy was swirling around them, picking up random things and throwing them around. When they broke apart, she was gasping.

"Spike, I..." but he cut her off by kissing her again.

"I was just going to say I love you." She growled when he pulled back.

"Oh, well then, I love you to, pet." Raven looked around at the debris.

"Well this is a mess." She deadpanned, then looked at Spike, flashing a rare smile.

"Yeah. Does this always happen when you feel happy?"

"It happens when I feel anything." She sighed, kissing him lightly.

"Right, so you could cause earthquakes if we..." Raven cut him off

"Yes!" She blushed, looking away.

"Better go somewhere deserted then." Spike chuckled. She raised her eyebrow.

"If you lucky." And with that, she faded out through the trees.

Fin.
