This is kind of a sequel to The Kiss. Enjoy.
Through Wind and Rain
Spike grabbed Raven's hand after all the fire demons were out of the way.
"You don't have to do this." He said, seeing the fear in her purple eyes. "We can fight the demons."
"No, you can't. No one can. Not even Trigon himself could defeat them. They're ghost of demons that have been sent to hell. That makes them invincible." The half demon responded, shaking with the effort of holding Trigon back, just for a few more minutes. Her eyes had just the faintest hint of a red glow in them.
"We can try." Spike said, pleading now. Raven shook her head sadly. It was all she could do not to cry.
"I was born for this, I was born so Trigon can take over. I can't stop him, no matter how hard I try. You have to let me go." She said, pulling away from him. He grabbed her once more and pulled her into an electrifying kiss. Bits of the pavement lifted up around them as Raven's emotions flared. She threw her arms around his neck and let him kiss her, enjoying what would be her last moments alive, as not just a portal, but someone who had a person to love them.
But Trigon was never one to be nice to his daughter and a searing pain shot through her body as the portal surged inside her. "Ahh!" she cried out, dropping to her knees and pressing her hands over her eyes. This would tear her, and anyone near her apart. 'My friends.' She thought. A dark shield of psychic energy burst from her, knocking Spike back with the others, and keeping them there where they would be safe.
'Spike, please, be careful.' She thought before her body was taken over. The sky darkened to a deep red as Raven's voice rang out on the to still night air.
"The gem was born of evil's fire." Her voice was low and demonic, not her usual monotone, but something far more dangerous. This was her demon half talking. "The gem shall be his portal." Spike slammed his fists into the black shield that was holding him and the other's captive. Red writing was covering the empath's body as she chanted. "He comes to claim." She shuddered harshly in pain. "He comes to sire." She gasped as her body tensed up. "The end of all things mortal." The last part came out a strangled gasp, then there was a bright flash of red light and the pedestal Raven had been kneeling on crumbled away with the force of the blast. Raven's body was torn apart, or so it looked to Spike, who finally stopped fighting, to horrified to do anything . A horned head, with red skin and white hair emerged from the giant hole in the ground.
"The Earth is mine." Trigon said, then blasted Spike, Angel, Wesley, Gunn, and Fred back in different directions. He had succeeded, Trigon had won the Earth.
Fin.
