«Thank you , Miss Parkinson,» said Professor McGonagall in a clipped voice. «you will leave the Hall first with Mr Filch. If the rest of your house could follow...» «NO! I've had enough of this» A girl Harry hadn't talked to shot up from her seat at the Slytherin table. «you've decided we're all bad,» she adressed the other tables where everyone was facing the Slytherins, protecting Harry «I can't help it that I was chosen into Slytherin! I'm so tired of seeing other houses making friends across these tables,» She gestured around the room «when noone over there wants to be friends with me, just because I wear a green tie.» as she was gesturing to her uniform Harry could see she was fully clothed like she hadn't gone to bed at all before coming here, in the middle of the night, but her short black hair was a little discheveled and her tie crooked. Cheeks red from working herself up, she continued «I'm of age, and I want to fight.» She looked around at her table «I bet there are more at this table who want to, but you all have decided we'd be on the other team.» She looked at Professor McGonagall «My father was a Ravenclaw when he attended Hogwarts, and my mother...my mother went to Durmstrang. I can't help that I'm a Slytherin! It feels so appropos» She looked as if she'd admitted to something she was a little ashamed of. And sure enough, some of the Slytherins looked at her like she'd grown a new head as she admitted that her father had been in Ravenclaw. «and you all do it to! You think you're better than the rest of them!» Her anger turned to her own table. «I'm tired of me an my girlfriend having to sneak around to be together.» She was resigning and said it as if it was an afterthought. The girl next to her looked up, she seemed surprised «you've got a girlfriend? Neat, why do you think you have to sneak around? It's no big deal...» she whispered as she looked around the table to see if any of the other girls could be the one. At the Hufflepuff table, a petite blonde stepped up on the bench «I love you, honey!» she said it verry loudly in a singsong soprano voice. A small mumble whent thru the Hall...a Slytherin and a Hufflepuff? Together? «I love you too, love. You know that» The Slytherin girl smiled at her girlfriend. Harry could feel the girl's eyes drilling into his own as she looked straight at him. «I want to defeat Voldy out there just as much as anyone in this room» she seemed like she ment it. «My loyality is to this school.»
