She was laughing. Laughing at something he had said. He knew he had no right to be jealous, he had given up that right two years ago, after all, but the feeling didn't go away. He had a feeling that it never would, and felt his heart break a little more when she stood on her tiptoes and planted a kiss on his cheek.

He, of course, the arrogant bastard he was, turned his head at the last second and made the kiss into something far more heated. More romantic. More sexual- he could see it even from this distance, so he was almost certain that the group of friends that surrounded the two could see it, too.

One of the aforementioned friends let out a loud wolf-whistle. He peered at the teen who had done so and felt his disgust rise further. Black. Of course, he would do that. The other boy, Lupin, nudged Black and said something in reprimand. But, he could see that Lupin didn't mean it. It was out of courtesy to both Lily and Potter- whose kiss got that much hotter at the whistle.

Severus tore his eyes away when Lily was lowered into a dip, swallowing away the lump in his throat. He could see the group, still, and saw Potter release Lily with a flourish when McKinnon- who Severus was fairly certain was lesbian, just as Lupin was bi and Black was oh-so-obviously gay- called for them to get a room.

Oh, please, he told them silently, for he didn't think he could stand for seeing them suck the face off their respective partners anymore. Potter laughed, and Severus left the scene, just as quiet and quick and hidden as he had been for the past four hours. They didn't notice him.

They never did. Not anymore.

I want your opinion, dear readers.
