FRIDAY NIGHT:
Lauren popped open her eyes as she felt the van come to a stop.
"We're here." She heard her mother say in the front.
Lauren sighed and hopped out of the van and looked up at the hot California sun. She had lived in Phoenix, Arizona her whole life, and she attended Dreway High School. Sadly, Lauren had to leave her old life behind because of her Dad's raise.
Lauren looked up at the brightly painted blue 2-story house in front of her.
They had moved to Malibu, California and had a beachside house.
She took paceful steps up the driveway.
The house was already filled with all the family's belongings and everything in order.
Lauren stared in astonishment. She had never seen such a big house in her life.
Back in Arizona, they had lived in a white 1-story house that was decent.
She took careful steps up the stair and entered her bedroom. She had all her things placed in order. Lauren's walls were painted blue like the ocean itself. She had always loved the ocean. She looked out her balcony window and watched the sun fall beneath the horizon. She loved the view. Lauren was very tired from a long trip.
She changed into her nightgown and collapsed on her bed into a peaceful sleep.
SATURDAY MORNING:
Lauren woke up the next morning ready to live her new life.
In Arizona at school, Lauren was always a loser.
She never had many friends, so there wasn't anyone she really would miss.
She was always bullied and made fun of, she was kind of glad to leave.
Lauren wasn't the prettiest girl around. She had dark black hair like a jaguar, and dark blue eyes as dark as the night sky. On Monday, Lauren would start attending Malibu High for her junior year and possibly her senior year too.
Lauren was bracing herself for the best.
MONDAY MORNING:
Lauren awoke with a nervous ball in her stomach, like everyone else got on there first day of school. She had never been the new girl, so she didn't know what to expect. Lauren let out a sigh and hopped out of bed.
She walked over to her walk-in closet and rummaged through her clothes trying to find something to wear. She finally decided on a
Blue v-neck and a pair of red skinnies with blue converse.
Lauren ran to her bathroom, she let her long hair fall to her shoulders.
She curled it. Lauren went light on her makeup, wearing black eyeliner and mascara and a bit of light blush. She ran downstairs to find her mom cooking breakfast, and her dad with his head stuck in the paper.
"Hey Hunny" her mom said with an enlightened smile.
"Hi mom" Lauren said as she bit into a piece of toast.
"Excited about school?" her mom asked.
"Kind of" Lauren said still chewing, "I will be the new-girl so I don't know"
"Oh you'll be fine babe" Lauren's dad said looking up from the paper for the first time in 15 minutes.
"I hope so, well just have to wait and see. Well I must go, don't want to be late" she said finishing her glass of milk.
"Have a good day Hun," her mom said kissing her cheek.
"Bye!" Lauren said and finally left the house.
The school was about 5 blocks away, Lauren finally got there after getting lost about 3 times.
Lauren stared up at the massive building, she now called her school.
"Well here I go" Lauren said as she stepped into the building for the first time.
