Several high-pitched shrieks violently woke Buffy up from much-needed rest. Bolting out of bed, she couldn't help the horrifying thoughts that flew through her mind, playing like a horror movie reel, as she raced down the stairs. The First, again? Are Bringer's back to raid the house? Goddamnit, if they take Spike again I'm gonna…
Only the sight that greeted her eyes as she brought herself to a screeching halt in the living room was nothing, to say the least, of what she expected.
The group of potentials, and Dawn, that were supposed to be getting their rest as well, were instead bouncing about the room, flicking tiny, imaginary…
Were those ants? Invading the house, again?
"Oh my, God, ew! Get out, get out, get out!" Was that Dawn's response to everything?
Sighing, Buffy moved to the basement to grab the can of Die, Bug, Die! and to fetch Spike – after all, killing bugs was a man's job, and even if she was the Slayer, ants were so not a part of the gig.
They were just…icky.
