Oscuro
Darkness crawls up his skin like whispered promises in the dead of night. Sticky black fingernails dig into the flesh of his elbow and shove him to the floor, leaving him staring up at the empty pools of light that serve as the monsters' eyes.
Heartless, he wants to cry, but the words die in his throat. You're Heartless.
They have no lips, no mouths, but he knows they smirk at him, satisfied, smug. No, they reply, wordless. We're Heartless.
One presses a foot to his neck, cutting off oxygen from his windpipe. His eyes roll back in his head, turning yellow like those of the shadow that suffocates him. His skin drips dark like bruises.
Darkness has found him.
And he knows he will never escape.
