Am I Whole Again?
By Talking Hawk
Author's Note: I must be one of those moods right now.all I can write (or, actually, *finish*) at the moment is Frodo angst - and poetry, no less. o_O This poem was greatly inspired - and even based off of - Skye's "Can the Heart Forget?" story. It *is* a very lovely story, of which I highly recommend for all those non-slash Frodo-and-Sam fans out there. So, here goes nothing (or, something, hopefully.)!
The Elves beckoned me to the sacred lands
So that I might become
Whole again
But is it as so?
The home and people
This place tore from my heart
A part of me, perhaps forever, lost
They gave me a new home, but
Am I whole again?
They gave me new friends, but
Am I whole again?
They gave a new finger, but
Am I whole again?
They gave me new, happier memories, but
Am I whole again?
They gave me a new soul, but. . .
Am I whole again?
My eyes turn to the East,
Back, back where it all began. . .
Samwise, I ask you,
When will I be whole again?
