So Much For My Happy Ending
Wyatt Halliwell was sitting on the couch, staring at the burning fire in the fireplace, unable to look away, his eyes red rimmed and his cheeks tear stained. He's not the kind of guy who cries a lot...but he just can't help it. It just isn't fair.
Piper Halliwell and Leo Wyatt stood in the archway behind their son, watching him. Piper looked like she was about to cry and Leo was trying to keep strong, for them both. Piper walked over to the couch and sat next to her son and wrapped her arms around him and he just sat there, not moving an inch.
Leo sat on the other side of him and rubbed his back softly, and Wyatt continued staring at the fireplace, his eyes unfocused, blank and void of any emotions. He was still in his black dress pants and white crisp dress shirt, but he'd taken off his shoes, tie and jacket.
"Honey..." Piper whispered softly running her fingers through Wyatt's ruffled blonde curls.
"What?" Wyatt asked his voice cracked with emotion as he blinked back tears.
"It'll all be okay honey." Piper tried to reassure her son, who turned his head and glared at her.
"How?" he asked harshly. "How is it all going to be okay!? Huh! Nothing's ever going to be okay mom. Never."
"One day it will be." Leo said and Wyatt shook his head and stood up, rubbing his eyes.
"No it won't. Without him, it never will be."
