Waddiwasi
Remus J. Lupin was sitting alone in the common room, immersed in the Standard Book of Spells year 1 by Miranda Gawshawk, when he heard shuffling footsteps. It was around 11 PM, and everyone had already gone to bed. Remus looked around nervously, not seeing anyone. He had not been able to sleep. The full moon was in three days, and not having friends to keep him company, he indulged himself in many books, to help him get passed the troubled times that surrounded the full moon.
Figuring he was imagining things, he brought his attention back to his treasured book.
'Hehe,'
Remus jumped at the small giggle.
'Wh-who's there?' He asked the darkness, frightened.
A snort came from somewhere behind him. Suddenly, he heard whispering, and felt something shoot up his nose.
'Gah!' He exclaimed. He did not want to stick his finger up his nose. After all, what respecting Gryffindor would? Perhaps that Peter Pettigrew. Remus had thought he had seen the boy doing just that in History of magic. Although, Remus thought, it wasn't as if he had much choice in getting whatever it was out of his nostril. With that thought in mind, he plunged his finger into his nose, already feeling dirty and tainted.
'AHAHAHAHAHA!' Remus looked around to see someone with dark hair rolling on the floor laughing hysterically. The boy was in a few of his classes, but they never associated. What was his name? Sirius?
Remus wedged the something out of his nose, and discovered that it was a piece of chewed gum. He cringed in revultion, whilst the boy laughed harder.
About a minute later, he seemed to regain his composure.
'Aha, ha ha. Sorry about that mate, I needed to test it on someone. Sirius Black, by the way.' He said, grinning.
Remus sat stunned.
'Right, well, goodnight then.' Sirius said, and got up. Remus smiled, then burst out laughing. He liked Sirius. In a strictly non-gay form of course. Remus silently hoped that he would be seeing more of Sirius. Everyone needed a laugh during these times. Mentally, he saved the spell in his mind, to someday use on an unsuspecting individual to bring a smile to their lives.
Remus smiled. Maybe Hogwarts wouldn't be so bad after all.
