Drew woke up in the morning when somebody whispered to him. "Come here", May's voice sounded in his ear.
Still sleepy as he was, everything seemed somehow blurred and yet fantastic.
He followed May to the forest where a little lake glittered in the early sunlight. The air was flickering, and he would have expected a miraculous creature every moment.
It was the kind of place that made you realise how tiny you were compared to the everlasting world.
"This is beautiful", he gasped.
May looked at him. "More than me?", she asked.
Not able to suppress a teasing remark (that his mind could make up even when still half sleeping), Drew said: "Well, that's not so difficult, isn't it?"
She put her hands to her hips and with an angry face responded: "You can really ruin a romantic moment, you know?"
Drew smirked. "You want romance?" Another obligatory rose was shoved in May's face to stop her from ranting. Although he found it very cute when she was angry, today he wanted nothing but a peaceful moment with her.
May seemed to think the same, because suddenly she kissed him on the forehead which caused him to blush heavily.
They spent the whole day at the lake, playing with their pokemon and sharing moments of joy, and when the sun began to set, Drew wished that they could live like this forever. It was like a vacation from real life.
He wanted to wake up to her sweet voice every morning, see her smile and feel her warmth every day.
For the first time in his life, Drew was entirely happy.
