This is an edit of my original story. I cringed at how awful my writing was back then so I'm changing it up a little bit. While some of the grammar may still be wrong, this is just for fun. Hopefully this version is better. Enjoy.

Sora

I watch as the mighty guardian deity Digimon floats down to me. Garudamon's talons shine a pure yellow with blood red stripes. Her body is lean and muscular, towering over the weakened Myotismon. She has tribal markings on her thighs and forearms. The DigiCode on her shoulder reads 'Digital Monster'. I can feel the love and faith that she has for me coursing through my entire body.

She holds her hand down, beckoning us to climb on. Myotismon wouldn't stay down for long. "Come on! Everyone get on!" Taichi Kamiya calls out, pointing to Garudamon. He is better known as Tai and bears the Crest of Courage. With his Digimon, Agumon, by his side, he leads our group to the best of his abilities. Besides Biyomon, he was the only one who convinced me that my crest would eventually glow. Until I saw Birdramon digivolve into Garudamon, I almost didn't believe him. He has a kind heart and is full of courage. His decisions may be rash at times, and he may not understand the consequences afterwards, but he does what he can to save his friends from doom. Without Tai, we'd be lost in many ways, and for that, I'm grateful he is part of our group.

Yamato Ishida grabs hold of his younger brother, Takeru, leading him to Garudamon. He refers his friends to address him as Matt while Takeru like people to call him T.K. Matt bears the Crest of Friendship and T.K. is bears the Crest of Hope. Gabumon's loyal personality and undying belief in Matt's abilities are just a few reasons why the pair are perfect friends. His parents divorced, splitting him and T.K. up, leaving Matt to never really know loyalty. Though he is tiny, Patamon does everything in his power to help defend and take care of T.K. When needed most, Patamon would give his all to save his Digidestined partner.

Matt and Tai butt heads quite frequently, mostly about whom the better leader is and a better brother towards T.K. It definitely gets out of hand. The group becomes divided and everything just goes south. Joe and T.K. usually take Matt's side while Mimi and Koushiro take Tai's side. I'm always stuck in the middle and I hate it. Both of them expect me to pick a side as if it is an easy decision. Sometimes I agree with what both of them are saying and sometimes more than the other but, I can't bring myself to choose between the two.

"Palmon! I chipped a nail!" Mimi Tachikawa yells in distress to her Digimon. Mimi owns the Crest of Sincerity. She is without a doubt my best friend in this group, considering that we are the only girls. I can relate to her far more than anyone else. In a way, she keeps me sane with her ditzy and 'girly girl' personality. She often comments on my fashion style and how it's a bit tom boy-ish. I don't know anyone who is more deserving of her crest. When she isn't with me, she spends most of her time with Koushiro Izumi.

Koushiro Izumi-we call him Izzy-is the smartest sixteen-year-old I've ever met. His partner is Tentomon who is practically just as smart. He tells us everything about each new Digimon we meet. Izzy holds the Crest of Knowledge. Without him, we'd be doomed in this world.

"My glasses!" Joe Kido is on the ground frantically searching for his glasses. He has practically become the doctor of our group and he is definitely the second smartest person I know and most people don't realize that. Izzy may be the computer expert, but Joe has his way with medicine and astronomy. If you get hurt, he's the man to go to. I remember when we first got here; he tried using his knowledge of astronomy to attempt to figure out where we were. Joe has the Crest of Reliability. Gomamon is his partner Digimon. He has a way of helping Joe lightening up and often teases Joe of his 'stick in the mud' nature. But if you need a friend or someone to rely on, Joe is the person to look for.

"Sora!" I hear Tai call. By the way, I'm Sora Takenouchi. I bear the Crest of Love. Until now, I never really knew what love was about. It's funny how I would get this crest bestowed upon me or even believe it would glow. I don't express any of my feelings well and I usually just end up confusing and frustrating everyone around me.

I look over to see that everyone has boarded Garudamon's and that they are waiting on me. I glance back at our make-shift campsite. We had barely gotten any sleep when DemiDevimon came to try and drug us all. He got to Biyomon first. She wanted to fight, but I wouldn't let her. I thought she was going to hurt herself when she digivolved into Birdramon. When she was hit by Myotismon's Crimson Lightning, all I could think about was how much I loved her and hoped that she would be okay. My crest started to glow red and Birdramon was able to digivolve.

Myotismon roars with anger, nearly scaring the life out of me.

"Come, Sora!" Garudamon's voice bellows. Her words are mighty and confident. I run to her, where my friends wait. Matt latches hold of my hand and helps pull me up onto Garudamon. She flaps her enormous wings, lifting us into the star covered night. The cold night breeze blows against my face. I grab my arms, roughly running my hands up and down, trying to get some warmth in them.

It just doesn't make much sense. The days are scorching hot, while the nights can give you pneumonia. Mimi often complains. "Oh, the wind is ruining my hair!" She whines, trying to keep her hat from being ripped away. I chuckle to myself as everyone walks to their own area between Garudamon's two hands. They are no doubt exhausted. We've been on the run lately.

I walk closer to Garudamon's chest. "Garudamon, I'm sorry for holding you back. I just didn't want you to get hurt." I say quietly, stroking her feathers. They are blood red and plush. Her long sandy-yellow hair is tied in red coils reaching all the way to her chest.

"Sora, your love helped me digivolve. Without you, I couldn't have done it." Her voice echoes. I nod and stroke her feathers one last time. I can hear arguing arising between Matt and Tai behind me. Could they stop fighting for one night? Just once so the rest of us could get some rest. I turn and glare at them. Tai, Mimi and Izzy stand on the right hand. Matt, Joe and T.K. stands to the left.

"If we had set up camp where I said, we wouldn't have gotten attacked!" Matt yells towards Tai, fists balled. Tai is in front of him, arms crossed. He looks more annoyed than angry.

"It wasn't my fault Matt. DemiDevimon would have attacked us anywhere. He tracked us down before. We didn't even realize he was doing it. Sora is a witness to that. It's better that we were attacked because now we know what we are up against. Running and hiding isn't going to work. We have to stand and fight!" Tai counters, raising his voice at the last part. He has a point in my opinion. DemiDevimon was able to track down each of the Digidestined. He would have followed us anywhere which means it really wouldn't have mattered where we set up base. We were destined to meet Myotismon tonight.

"We could have gotten away without fighting! Then the Digimon wouldn't have gotten hurt!" Matt barks furiously. Gabumon took quite a beating, but so did the other Digimon.

I decide now would be the time to step in between them. I jog over to them and position myself between both of them, holding my hands out. "Stop fighting! Can't you see that we are choosing sides? We have to stick together and be mature about this." I turn towards Matt. "If we hadn't been attacked by Myotismon, Birdramon wouldn't have digivolved into Garudamon. My crest wouldn't have glowed. DemiDevimon would have followed us anywhere we went. It was inevitable. We have to make a plan and fight back." I say firmly. He glares at me even angrier than before.

"You always take his side!" He growls in my face, taking a step towards me.

"I'm not taking anyone's side Matt, I'm being realistic. When do I ever take sides? You know I don't." I glance at Tai. I've known Tai my whole life. We used to do everything together, but of course with time, we grew apart. He is still my best guy friend, though. In a way I've always had mixed feelings towards Tai. Even towards Matt. But now isn't the time for that. Now is the time for keeping these two from fighting.

"Matt, she is right. Listen to her if you won't listen to Tai." Joe speaks up uncomfortably. I nod my head towards him in gratitude. I'll need all the help I can get since Matt doesn't seem to be in the mood to admit he is wrong. Joe walks over to Tai's side.

I can see the anger in Matt's eyes bubbling up. He has the Crest of Friendship, but sometimes I wonder how that fit his personality. It must be buried deep within him. He's got to be hiding it. I know it's somewhere in his heart, he just has to find it. "Matt, just listen to reason. Tai is right on this one. Please just accept it so we can all move on." I whisper, taking a step closer. His knuckles turn a ghostly white.

Matt growls quietly. "Sora is right, just relax Matt." Tai says calmly.

"No! Gabumon is hurt because of you. All of our Digimon are!" He yells in Tai's direction.

"Matt! The Digimon are fine. They all took a beating but its fine now." I say desperately trying to reason with him. He glares at me.

"Of course your Digimon is fine, you held her back! If you hadn't maybe Biyomon could have helped the other Digimon. But no, you had to be selfish." Matt spits. I take a step back, my hand coming up to my chest. Was I really being selfish? I just didn't want Biyomon to get hurt more than she already was.

"What is your deal? Without Garudamon, we wouldn't have gotten out of there at all, much less alive!" Tai retorts angrily. Matt starts charging towards Tai. I come between them, hoping he'll stop. Instead, Matt grabs my arm forcefully and shoves me out of the way. I roll dangerously close to the edge of Garudamon's hand, my feet slipping off the edge. I dangle from my arms, my heart pounding painfully in my chest from fear. Tai tries running to me, but Matt tackles him down. Joe and Mimi run to me, pulling me back to safety. Relief washes over me. That was too close.

Tai throws Matt off him and runs to me. "Sora, are you okay?" He asks, cradling my cheeks in his palms. I can feel heat rushing to my cheeks and my knees going weak. He genuinely cares about my safety. I can't bring myself to say anything so I simply nod. He realizes what he's doing and quickly removes his hands from my face. There is a cold spot remaining where his warm palms once were. I lightly brush it with my fingertips, causing the corner of my lips to tug up, forming a small smile.

I glance behind Tai to see Matt was charging again. Joe and Izzy try holding him back but he broke loose. "Tai!" I warn. He turns but it's too late. Matt kicks him square in the stomach making Tai collide with me. I grab hold of his waist. I can feel my stomach drop as we free fall towards the rapidly approaching ground. Everything happened so fast. I hear my and Tai's names being called from up above, I just can't process who it's coming from.

My hands slip from Tai's waist. We drift apart, as the bitter cold air nips at my skin. I take another look at the sky. The sun is slowly rising, creating a creamy orange color on the horizon. I glance at Tai one last time. He stares into the sky. His soft, chocolate locks flow in the rushing wind. His eyes are wide open with thrill. I shut my eyes tight. If I have to look at anything for the last time, I'm glad it was him.

I don't know how quickly these revised chapters are going to come out or if anyone really cares. I just figured I'd fix some of my stories because a lot of them are awful.
