A/N: lame title is super lame.
this is a result of having extreme Writer's Block on

Soldier!Blaine. enjoy!

Kurt had always loved going to theme parks, especially after their son, Andrew, came along. Andrew was a little ball of energy, much like Blaine. (Blaine was the biological dad, Santana, the mom.) Blaine was in the military; he had been gone away on duty for over a year.
Kurt had found out, in his last Skype session with his husband, that Blaine was denied leave and was stuck overseas for at least another six months.
He told Andrew "Daddy isn't able to come home just yet, but he loves and misses you lots." Having to explain something like that to an almost eight year old was hard.
So, to take their minds off of recent events, Kurt had decided to take Andrew on a day-trip to Six Flags.

Blaine absolutely hated lying to his husband. He even hated it more than being away from his family for so long. But, in order for his plan to work, he had to.
Luckily, Nick, one of his old Warbler buddies, still worked at Six Flags, and was able to let him use a character's costume for the day after Blaine had told him of his plans. (Blaine had found out about Kurt and Andrew's trip by calling Burt and telling him about him coming home, and changed his plans and planned it all out on the flight back to New York, and stayed at Nick's house when he arrived.)
Blaine had decided to masquerade as Batman, because he knew that was his son's favorite superhero, so he'd have to find him and have to get a photo with him.

After a few hours of riding rides, playing games, and snacking, Andrew was determined to find a few of his favorite characters. He had managed to find Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester, Tweety, and a handful of others. Batman was nowhere to be seen, so they went on a few more rides, hoping to catch him later in the day.

"Papa! Papa! Look, it's Batman!" Andrew yelled excitedly, tugging on this father's shirt. "Can we go over and take a picture with him?" "Sure sweetie, just give me a minute to find my camera." Kurt said, rummaging through his backpack.
After he located it, Andrew ran over to the person in costume. "Mind if we get a picture?" Kurt asked, after Andrew excitedly introduced himself.
"Sure." He said, in a very convincing Batman voice. "Papa! Be in the picture with us!"

Luckily, right at that moment, Nick walked by. "NICK!" Kurt yelled. "Care to take our picture?" Nick turned around and glanced at his friend. "Sure thing." He replied, trying to hide a smile. "Kurt, you stand next to Batman. Andrew, you get in front." They quickly posed for a few pictures.

"Thanks!" Kurt and Andrew both said at the same time. Nick nodded and walked away, after giving Kurt his camera. As Kurt started to walk away, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Thinking it was someone telling him he dropped something, he was surprised at who was standing there, in a mask-less Batman suit.

"Blaine?" he asked, almost in tears. "Daddy? DADDY!" Andrew yelled, running to hug him for the third time in twenty minutes. "What..How…?" Kurt asked, in complete shock. "Uhm…" Blaine said nervously.
"I got leave, called everyone a few nights ago, found out from your dad that you'd be coming here with Andrew, and I remembered Nick still worked here, and got him to lend me the costume for the day."

"So, when you told me last week that you got denied, you were lying?" Kurt asked, remembering the conversation vividly. "Mhm." Blaine nodded.
"That was mean." Kurt took Blaine into a huge hug. "I've missed you so much."

"I've missed you more." Blaine said, giving Kurt a kiss, not caring that they were in the middle of Six Flags, or that he was still in the Batman costume.
