Hey guys!
Hello again. You know the drill: R&R!
I don't own twilight in any way at all.
Edward sat against the wall watching the sleeping form in the bed before him. The rhythmic breathing the normally calmed him down now just made him all the more upset.
Guilt was eating away at him and if he could cry… he would. Watching Bella sleeping so peacefully, so soundly made him rethink what he was going to do.
He knew that when he told her, he'd break her heart. The thought of her tears that would run down her cheeks, how betrayed and alone she would fell; it all made him want to give up on his plan. But…No! It was for her own good….wasn't? How could having a vampire for a boyfriend be healthy? It wasn't. It couldn't!
How could he muster the strength to lie to his angel and tell her he didn't love her? How can he tell her he moved on and watch how it would break her heart? It seemed impossible.
How could he turn away with out a backwards glace, when all he wanted was to run back and protect her from the pain? How could he do that to the woman he loved with all his heart?
He went over to her sleeping form and slowly bent down and gave her a soft, gentle cold kiss on her cheek. When he leaned back he could have sore he saw her smiling in her sleep.
The last thing he said to her before he once again retreated to the side of the wall, were only two simple words:
"I'm sorry"
