Hi everyone wow it's been such a long time since I've written anything new. I'd like to say thank you to everyone that reviewed my first story I was so nervous putting that up but all you reviews cheered me up and encouraged me to write more, although it'll probably be some time before I write anything new or longer.

This was a little something I just thought up of, honestly I was planning of writing something like a love story but instead it turned out kinda angsty and not very long.

Well anyway hope you enjoy it.

Inuyasha slowly walked down the hallway golden eyes passed across the bare walls not really seeing them. Long greyish silver hair swished down his back straightened out from the tugging and pulling that was supposed to be brushing his hair. A top his head two triangular, furry puppy ears swivelled and flicked hoping to catch the faintest sound yet all was silent. His long white kimono hung loosely on his body as thoughts of why he was here plagued his thoughts.

The singular place he was denied entering, the singular place where so many happy memories had been created by his parents and held even more memories of his father.

The Western Palace

Sesshoumaru's home; or rather their home but he had been denied entry, labelled as his father's mistake he was not welcomed to access the grounds his father was birthed and grew up on.

The why was it that he was here, after so many years, why now was he able to walk upon the sacred grounds he had to vehemently been refused before.

It was simple really

His elder

His brother

The one who was disgusted by his existence

Who rejected, beat and hurt him

The one who promised to take his life….

….was gone

Inuyasha stopped outside the room that belonged to his brother, sliding the doors open he looked inside.

The room was stripped bare, as had the rest of the Palace. The so called loyal servants and guards, after hearing their last lord die protecting a mere human; taking everything that they could they left, claiming they could no longer bear the shame of working for a human loving family.

HA! They could no longer bear the shame; it is even more disgraceful how they looted the palace and left.

Jaken, faithful as ever had followed his lord to the never world.

A futon lay still in the middle of the empty room, his brother's bed; the only thing left. Closing the door Inuyasha laid down curling up as he breathed in the scent of his tormentor

His rejecter

The one who made his life hell….but

A single tear flowed down his cheek

His one and only brother.
