So, this is my first ever Mortal Instruments fanfiction! I did one of those 'song shuffle' challenges, where you put your iPod on shuffle, and write a drabble/short story to the song. But you can only write as long as the song.

He woke up, day after day to an empty bed. The pang in his heart doesn't go away as he remembers how she would sleep so peacefully next to him.
It's been weeks since he's seen her but every night she returns faithfully to his dreams. In the morning, he wakes up, hopeful that she returned.
But the love of his life was never there- and the loneliness set back in. He clearly remembers the day before she left. He was going to the ring shop to choose an engagement ring. He was ready to settle down and marry this wonderful woman. But before he even had the chance, she was gone.
And now he's stuck here, remembering her.
