Padme looked up. There, standing before her, was a man who looked of great importance. "Who are you?" she asked weakly. Giving birth definitely did not make you stronger. "I am the wishkeeper." He said. She remembered all of a sudden. When her sister, Illanna had died, she'd heard him ask her of her dying wish. There was only one rule to the wish you could make. You could not wish to stay alive. "I am here to ask you of your wish. Your dying wish. Remember, I cannot give you life. Padme thought. She knew she could wish for Anakin's revival from the dark side, but what use was it? Anakin would never know what had happened to his wife. He would never know that his children had been born. He simply would not survive. This much she knew. She had to wish for the safety of her children, Luke and Leia. They were now most important to her. "I wish……" she started. She couldn't finish. She tried again. "I wish for the safety of my children." She took a breath. "Please let them be born of someone that I could trust. Let myself and Anakin never have even met………. Never fallen in love the way that we did……never even have seen each other, unless I could have not seen the fate of it. Please." Padme finished. There was a sharp cry. Not from Padme, nor anyone else in that room. It was that of Darth Vader. He had heard Padme's word, through the force. The Wishkeeper had made sure of that. "Padme Nabberrie Amidala Skywalker. I carry out your wish….. May you rest in peace." He said. "Wait-" Padme died instantly.
Anakin Skywalker walked through the halls of the Senate. He had to meet with one of the Senators there, for he too was a senator. He stopped and waited. He looked up the hall, and saw two women. They were in deep conversation. Both very beautiful. Although, he could have sworn that he'd seen one of the womens' beauty before…… in a past life. He heard some of their conversation. "Oh, Padme, you won't believe it!" One of them said. "Luke and Leia are getting so big!" she continued.
"Oh, how wonderful! I would like……" Her voice faded away. Padme. Anakin thought. He had heard that name before! But he couldn't place it…… Amelia Kenobi of Diadora was the young senator that had spoken with Padme Amidala. She was married to Representative Obi-Wan Kenobi. She had two children: Luke Kenobi, and Leia Kenobi. The young children were twins. The Kenobis had always had their representation for the Senate. Obi- Wan had all the necessary degrees for the head spot, although he agreed to his wife that she could take the position. They were happily married. Anakin found small silver Comm. Link. He heard the words spoken. They were the words of the once Padme Nabberrie Amidala Skywalker. His once wise and talented wife. PADME!
Anakin woke suddenly in his bed and saw his pregnant wife beside him.
He was relieved that it had only been a dream.
