Disclaimer: Disney, Disney, Disney...Everything belongs to Disney. Well, actually not everything, but a lot belongs to Disney.
A/N: Nothing special, really. Just an idea that hit me. A little drabble depicting Simba's thoughts berore fighting with Scar.
P.S. Reviews are so good, you know...
Everything must be finished - right here, right now. Pride Rock...this is where my lifetime has started; this is where my lifetime has broken. This is where it must be resurrected.
But in which way? I don't want to suggest that in a way of death. I've already seen death...my father's death...it's enough for me.
But it's not enough for Scar. He will fight until the end, until he will protect his throne - or not. He is right in front of me. He is grinning. He hates me. I wish I could hate him too. He's a killer, a destroyer, just a pathetic creature. But a little detail - he's still a king, and I m still a...who am I, by the way?
Are my paws...trembling?
Even the kings can fear, once Father told me.
Words begin to flash in my mind - faster and faster.
"Take your place in the circle of life..."
"Tell them who is responsible for Mufasa's death..."
"We've really needed you at home..."
"I killed Mufasa..."
"Murderer..."
"Remember who you are..."
"You're a king..."
And along with that -
"Hakuna Matata - what a wonderful phrase..."
Timon, Pumbaa...This time this wonderful formula of the problem-free philosophy seems not to help me.
"Hakuna Matata ain't no passing craze..."
Well...at least it's worth to give it a try. I remember who I am, Father.
Pride Rock, your destiny is chosen right here and right now. Just as my destiny.
"It means no worries for the rest of your days..." I hear myself singing in my head. I was a little cub then, I couldn't know...
Meanwhile, time isn't waiting. My unc...Scar is near. Too near.
"It's our problem-free philosophy..."
Damn, I swear - if I outlive this night, I will personally teach this song to the every member of a pride...
