This recording was made for posterity and so my name would not be forgotten, It all began when we landed on a small planet named Gem, for it's surface which is virtually covered with gemstones, we landed there looking to make our fortunes, but the bugs had beaten us there and had other ideas.
A week after we landed the first victim disappeared, we found what was left of him in a tunnel, we took over the tunnel briefly because it cut through a vein of metal that was worth a clanking fortune per ounce.
As we worked we ran into a few bugs, nothing serious, but they did make their presence known and we had the feeling they were testing us.
The bugs can dig fast, ungodly fast, it sounds almost as if bacon is frying in a frying pan as they dig, more than once they nearly pinned one of our crews down.
Last one being a very intense fight to win past them back to the surface.
A week later the bugs managed to corner a small exploration party and kill them, we called for fleet help after that.

Within a week we were ordered off planet and told to clear the planets orbit by psychon, or psycho as the troopers referred to command as, they had determined there was a bug brain on the planet and they wanted to catch it.
