Disclaimer: Here's a random fact: L'arc-en-ciel are beyond love. Here's another random fact: I don't own Prince of Tennis, or any of the characters. :)

Rating: Um. High PG…?

Warnings: Shounen-ai/yaoi, RIDICULOUSLY short, reflectyness ahoy!

Summary: Short and not-so-sweet…? Although really, anyone who can describe Niou as 'sweet' must be joking, ignorant, or Choutarou.

You know that you should really do something about it when your AN is longer than your fic…

But dear lord, I got 23 reviews for 'The Way' in like… less than four days! That's a new record for me, and one that made me so happy I decided to upload this a day early :3 lol not that that'll probably make anyone any happier since it's so SHORT… but never mind… And I would make a list of everyone who reviewed, but I think I managed to give everyone an individual reply anyways, and my AN is dragging on, so… THANK YOU ALL!!

Dedicated to and requested by Merissala. Hope you like. Mwa.

There's a low growl as Niou nips his lower lip. He almost raises a protest, but his mouth is apparently still completely disconnected from his brain.

He wonders; how can anyone think that Niou's cold? Then again… He supposes that most people would never see past the icy-blue stare, the malevolent little smirk, the standoffish body language. Which is more than fair enough.

But he knows better. He knows from experience that the stare is edged with an intensity that wouldn't be out of place on a starving tiger. He knows that the smirk is a goading invitation. I-dare-you. He knows that the unfriendly body language is a challenge to anyone stupid enough to take it. And he definitely knows that the raw heat and hardness of Niou against him is anything but cold.

Did he accept the Trickster's challenge, then? He hadn't thought so, but then again… Maybe it just happened over time. Maybe.

He chases and recaptures Niou's mouth to stop him from completely pulling away, because he knows that as soon as the kiss stops, the currently-delayed guilt is gonna hurt.

It's true after all, Shishido thinks dimly. The hottest fire burns blue.

Sandy: Twist-in-the-tale, anyone? xDD

Thoughts, feelings, quotes, essays (lol), all are good. The longer the better, you know! ;D Please do review. I know it was short, but… n.n;;

Oh, wait, that reminds me – Javert, I can't reply to you when you leave fantasmical reviews since you leave neither email nor account thingy, you mysterious person you, so I'm just putting here as a note that I LOVE YOU and good luck with your book reports xDD

Until next time!
