Penny gripped the railing of the hospital bed and gritted her teeth together. No one ever told her that giving birth was going to be this hard. Seaweed was the ever faithful husband by her side, dabbing her forehead off with a cloth and whispering soothing words to her. She would give him little smiles because even though she was in pain, she was excited about giving birth to their first child together.

Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play?
Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day
The sun is up, the sky is blue
It's beautiful and so are you
Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play?

"Oh Seaweed, I don't think I can do this," Penny whimpered.

"Yes you can my pretty little Penny, you can do anything," Seaweed smiled down at her and brushed their lips together lightly.

They had received a few dirty looks from the nurses and even from the doctor. Penny was petrified that the hospital would refuse to deliver their baby. Times were changing, but not fast enough. Seaweed grasped her hand in his and kissed her knuckles.

"Come on baby, you can do this, I'm right here by your side," he told her softly.

Penny always seemed to find the strength when he was by her side.

Dear Prudence, open up your eyes
Dear Prudence, see the sunny skies
The wind is low, the birds will sing
That you are part of everything
Dear Prudence, won't you open up your eyes?

"One more push, Penny," the doctor told her.

She squeezed Seaweed's hand, gritted her teeth and gave one more mighty push. The baby's loud cries filled up the room and Penny allowed herself to finally relax. Her child was safe in this word now and all she wanted was to hold her newborn in her arms. She wanted to see the beauty she had created with her love.

Dear Prudence, let me see you smile

"Oh Seaweed, look at her, look at how perfect she is," Penny beamed, holding the little pink bundle in her arms.

"Man, she's more than perfect. She's the most amazing being to ever enter this world," Seaweed grinned, his heart bursting with pride.

"She needs a name," Penny told him.

"Something with P, like her beautiful mother," Seaweed smiled and Penny blushed softly as the little baby girl wiggled in her arms.

"What should your name be, huh? What should it be little one?" Penny cooed down at her daughter, half expecting her to answer.

"Prudence!" Seaweed exclaimed.

Penny looked up at him and raised an eyebrow.

"Seaweed, that was my mother's name," she reminded him as a stony look crossed her face.

"I know that. We won't call her Prudy, but Prudence will be a good name for her."

"Why would it be a good name? My mother is an awful woman," Penny said, brushing a lock of red hair out of her eyes.

"Yes, she was, but our Prudence will be an amazing woman and you keep forgetting that she did one amazing thing."

"And what was that?"

"She bought you into this world," Seaweed smiled.

"Alright, Prudence Elizabeth Stubbs it is then," Penny smiled, glancing down lovingly at her baby daughter.
