A/N: Holy cow, guys

A/N: Holy cow, guys. I'm sorry that my last story was such crap! I'm hoping that this one is better. It's kinda short though. But anyways, it's pretty good, or at least better than 'Pride'.

DISCLAIMER! I don't own Harry Potter, nor do I own the Diggory family. If I did, it would be amazing. Unfortunately, they all belong to JKR.

Regret

Harry opened his eyes for the hundredth time that night, rolling and tossing about until he had lifted himself out of bed. It was summer, so he as at the Dursley's, trying to get a decent nights sleep for once. But he hadn't been getting any sleep since the final task, the one where Cedric…Harry didn't even want to think about it.

He strode to his window, and looked out into the night. Well, what was left of it. It was already string to become morning; the sky a very light shade of navy blue…Harry could already hear the birds walking up. Privet Drive was beautiful at this time of night (or day), but Harry couldn't see it, not with all of the morbid memories in his mind.

Thinking back to when he and Cedric were deciding who should grab the cup, Harry wished that he had taken it himself, instead of trying to be the better man and sharing it. He could've been greedy, selfish, cruel, but no, he had to be the good guy, the hero, the Harry Potter that he was. Sighing, he sat back on his bed and thought about Cedric, and how his family must hate him, even though they said they could never, not after he had brought back his body. Harry thought about how Mr. and Mrs. Diggory looked as their eyes rested upon their son, or the shell of what he used to be.

Sighing deeply, Harry lied back down. He wished that he could've saved Cedric, but then again, that went back to the whole 'being the better man' thing, and that just made Harry feel worse. Maybe if he wasn't Harry, he wouldn't have gotten Cedric into such a mess. Then again, if Harry wasn't Harry, he probably wouldn't have been thrown into similar messes, and Hell, he could've had a normal childhood. Harry tried to think of ways he could've saved Cedric, but ultimately decided that that wasn't the way to fall asleep, so he just laid there until his heavy eyes closed, forcing him to dream about his own guilt.

A/N: So yep. Poor Harry Potter. But it's alright! Well, not really, because the next story is Rage, and he might be mad at someone. So let's hope that he settles his Rage…that made no sence.

Oh, and remember to stop by my page and vote on that poll. I'm happy that you all are voting! So vote some more, huh? XD
