5:00pm unknown beach, Burbank, California
Chuck slowly walked up behind Sarah, whose spy senses weren't peaking at the time. When Chuck sat down behind her Sarah was not surprised. She knew how much he cared for the old her. After a few moments of silence Chuck decided to break the silence. "Sarah, I know you wanted time alone, but I had to talk to you, I didn't know if you were leaving and I had to tell you this first." "Sarah, no matter where you are or what time it is you can always call me if you need anything." Sarah was a bit shocked at how much he cared for her even after what she did to him. She waited a moment then said, "Chuck, tell me our story."
After about an hour and a half of storytelling with an occasional stopping to wipe tears Chuck had finished. Sarah was flabbergasted. She had no idea how much she had changed from the cold-hearted spy she used to be, the person she remembered. After a few minutes of deep thought Sarah finally said, "thanks Chuck, I want you to know that I believe you but I don't feel the love you described in my heart." Chuck thought 'of course she doesn't' but said "it's ok, I understand." Chuck thought for a moment then said " you know, Morgan had this crazy idea that…..never mind it's stupid." "No, Chuck tell me" Sarah said. "Ok well morgan said that if we kiss then maybe you would remember us, what we had." Chuck and Sarah looked into each others eyes and just as Cuck was about to apologize for bringing up such a ridiculous idea Sarah said, "kiss me Chuck."
Without hesitation he kissed her. The kiss lasted for about seven seconds but to them it seemed like eternity. When the kiss was over they gazed into each other's eyes, then all of a sudden Sarah said "this is where I told you to trust me." Chuck was so surprised he almost screamed. 'It has worked he thought, the kiss worked.' Then Sarah said that was all that she remembered. Chuck was sad, but he had hope. If it had worked once it would work again. Wouldn't it? Sarah's mind was racing. She was excited and scared all at the same time. She was excited that she remembered, but she was scared that she would lose her ruthless personality. So, she decided to go away for a while. After she told Chuck he seemed disappointed, but she told him she just needed time to get her feelings in order.
Flight 537 Burbank-Georgia 8:30pm
That night Sarah left Burbank and headed to Georgia. She had remembered her dad said he would be there when she saw a picture of him in her hotel room. On the flight there all she could think about was Chuck and how much he cared about her and how much he loved her. She knew he loved her, but did she love him? That was what she came to find out. She assumed her dad had met them and could tell how she felt about him when she couldn't.
Burbank, California 8:30pm
Chuck was worried about Sarah, but he knew this is the best thing for her right now. He wanted to be with he but he didn't want to scare her away. So he decided he would just go to bed and hope she would come back soon. The next day Chuck woke up and touched the spot where Sarah would have been before all of this and wished she was there.
