The sun began to set behind the walls of Anor Londo, painting the city below a vibrant shade of orange and yellow. The sun looked like a massive red sphere as it disappeared behind the walls, and began to welcome the coming night. Everyone was pleased and ready to wind down for the night. Well, almost everyone.

Ciaran, one of Lord Gwyn's faithful knights, was in a state of unease. Her comrade Artorias was due to leave for the town of Oolacile on a special mission to rescue Princess Dusk, and Ciaran swore to herself that she would confess her love for him tonight. But it was more difficult than she would've expected.

Ciaran stood at the door to Artorias' room, trying to work up the courage to knock on the door. But every time she so much as stuck her hand out, she retracted it in embarrassment. A million thoughts all assaulted her head.

What would he say? How should I tell him? What would he think of me? Ciaran thought to herself.

Eventually, mustering up whatever courage she had, she reached her hand out and knocked on the door.

"You can come in." Artorias said from behind the door.

Ciaran took a deep breath, twisted the knob and stepped into the room, closing the door behind her. Artorias stood in the middle of the room, organizing whatever he might need for the trip to Oolacile. He stood over nine feet tall, towering over Ciaran.

"Oh, greetings Ciaran. Was there something you wanted to tell me?" Artorias asked.

Ciaran blushed. "Well, it's just that…before you go to Oolacile, there was something I wanted to tell you."

"Go ahead. I'm not leaving until tomorrow." Artorias replied.

Ciaran took another deep breath and braced herself. "Artorias, I-I…I just wanted to tell you…that…"

"Well? What is it?" Artorias asked once more. Finally, Ciaran said it.

"I'm in love with you!" Ciaran yelled.

Artorias was silent for a moment, and Ciaran stared getting nervous. She blushed even harder. "It's just that, you've always been a good friend to me…and I just wanted to tell you that I loved you before you went to Oolacile and I just-" She was cut off by Artorias placing a hand on her shoulder.

"It's okay Ciaran. I understand." Artorias said reassuringly. "I always kind of felt the same way about you." Ciaran was astonished.

"Y-You did?" Ciaran asked dumbfounded.

"Of course I do." Artorias nodded.

Artorias brought his face closer towards Ciaran's, and stared panting.

"You were always so beautiful." Artorias whispered to her. Ciaran blushed and moved her face closer to his, their lips mere centimeters from each other.

"I could say the same about you." Ciaran said jokingly.

And finally, their lips met. Ciaran could feel the warmth of Artorias' mouth against hers. She could feel his tongue gliding against the walls of her mouth. She gasped in pure delight and leapt onto Artorias' torso and hugged him. They continued kissing each other before they pulled their faces away from each other. They looked at each other, and smiled.

"I love you, Artorias." Ciaran said lovingly. Artorias chuckled.

"And I love you too." Artorias replied.
